Alrighty, the partly scratch-built Siege/ Assault Chariot starts to take shape! It'll look better - more uniform - when primed. I need to add an impression-molded Khador symbol or two. The side shields swing back and forth and I'm hoping the main gun will rotate slightly when done. Otherwise not as interactive as the Siege Crawler I largely scratch-built (in another thread).

The chariot is looking good so far, it has a nice level of detail.

Got some paint on the Siege/ Assault Chariot conversion. It still needs a bit of clean-up, and of course more patriotism in the form of much Khador symbol adornment (bits order already made)...

Nice! Looks good, very Khadoran, and detailed without being too busy. I agree about the lack of patriotism though. Please remedy this immediately komrade.

STILL waiting for those Khador symbol bits to arrive from PP. Still, mounted the chariot on its base. It's aligned a bit better than the big pic suggests. Now to get more paint on Sorscha 3 and Dragos!

Any chance of a tutorial on the dark ice? Really like the bases on the MOW's.

Thanks, bud. For the Demo Corps it's basically: Coat a black-primed base with PP Exile Blue, paint about 2/3 of that with GW Alaitoc Blue (or for more punch Vallejo Game Color Magic Blue), then cover 2/3 of that with something pale like VMC Azure or use increasing amounts of white. Wet blend as you go or glaze between the transitions to taste. I felt it was too blue so I glazed with very thinned-down PP Turquoise Ink. Oh, and using an extreme angle I dry-brushed the edges with very light blue or white. I got the idea here... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLhxmNiR6i4This vid is similar... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXWTXiz43NEIf you do it, I'd love to see your take on it!

OMG has it been SEPTEMBER since I posted on this project? The school year is always a Female Dog; it pulls me from the hobby. Well, it's spring break here so I'm posting now to hold myself socially accountable to finish Sorscha 3 or Dragos. ...And put up some pics here.
I think the extra slain 'jack head on Dragos' back and the added viking horn on his waist work pretty well with his repose. Pics soon.

I have almost finished painting three models since the school year started. Ok, I suppose I did speed-paint a couple whelps in there and half-paint another couple models, but it is comparable to a slow months output from before getting back into school.

I've been trying to finish painting a single MOW model since January, but it's just so hard to find time to paint. It's really depressing.

Oh to think back at all the free time i had when i was in school... 🤣 Hah, I kinda miss the leisure time I had last time I was between jobs. To b honest it's nice for a few weeks, but after that the brain starts to go numb.

Oh to think back at all the free time i had when i was in school... 🤣 I'm with you there, brother. Being "on the other side of the podium" nowadays differs a bit from my grad school years. You know what they say about professors: We have lots of freedom... the freedom to work whichever 60 hours of the week we want! But spring break is here, I still benefit from it, and I made at least a little progress...
