Good to have a new(ish) pkayer and great choice for a first caster.
I'd highly recommend adding the Northkin UA and if you want to focus on one caster then Dancock's Bearka list is just incredibly solid and would be my choice as a general drop and great way to learn the game. IF the people you are playing are fairly competitive. Bearka's a beast and in the right hands he is tough to handle. At 15 points he would be a monster.
Having said all that here's what I would bring. Forgoing the stone at this low a point value for a min unit of raiders.
War Room Army
Trollblood - Bearka 15
Theme: No Theme Selected 15 / 15 Army
Borka, Vengeance of the Rimeshaws - WB: +27 - Rök - PC: 19 (Battlegroup Points Used: 19) - Earthborn Dire Troll - PC: 14 (Battlegroup Points Used: 8)
Northkin Raiders - Leader & 5 Grunts: 9

The feat is also amazing in Band of Heroes because of take down. One of the things I love about madrack2 in this build is he basically tells your opponent: “Did you bring guns?...do you Threat farther than 13”? No to both of those....ok prepare your anus” Even into certain gunlines, Arm 20 long Riders can cause your opponents issues. Keep in mind that you can't use takedown and the overtake/berserk part of the feat together. Takedown RFPs models on boxed and overtake triggers on destroyed. This hits Valka in SotN as well.

Much appreciated as was the general writeup. I think either of those lists pairs fairly well then (and may make a nice 3 set all together).
Any further thoughts on Siege2 in GD would be appreciated but I think you've summed it up pretty nicely here.
I may be mixing up lists/events but did you play Chris Dancocks Bearka2 list at the ATC? If so, I think that was his only loss.

Juris, your list looks like a blast to play and actually has me looking at Cygnar as a faction (no small feat).
What would you say this list DOESN'T want to see? It's got quite the toolkit with Siege2 at the helm. I'm looking for a partner for it and am intrigued by both the Sloan 5x5 and Kraye 4 Centurions in SotT.
Thanks!!

I think part of the reason for this might be that you ARE only looking at her in PoD and would simply choose Gunnbjorn as anti-shooting in that list/role. I actually like her more in SotN the more I play her. She can target any of her own models to perfectly align sprays. Hunter's mark + ambushing bears can really force opponents in t a narrow window which is all the better for cloud screening. I also feel Madrak1 runs champs better but it's close. They already have immune to knockdown tech and with Sorc can get magic weapons. She can make them immune to charges turn after turn as well as screen from a lot of shooting. She can equally apply -2Def in melee via cloud screen. What she gains is threat extension with Hunter's Mark.
It probably helps that I got to live the dream and sprayed of two units of ARM 23/25 sentinels thanks to Cursed Fate :)Last night I assassinated Issyria by targeting my own guy and staying outside of Arcane Vortex range. Her feat was also clutch as she came forward just enough to catch the AFG's and prevent a turn of shooting. The push can surprise people that are being cheeky and toeing zones.
I've only had four games with her so I'm still refining the list and getting comfortable but I really like her here. Mulg seems like a REALLY expensive arc node in PoD. I want him to operate independently and be where he wants, when he wants.
I'm also trying to fill a different role with her so that probably helps too. My Bearka list doesn't like a lot of dudes and that's kinda where she shines here.

Let's agree to disagree?

At the last event we all agreed that Madrak1 in to Madrak1 would be awful. The question is who blinks first or who learns to “hate that game less” I was looking at Madrak2 in BoH or Grim1 as well. Big Fat Troll - What’s your Grum listblook like? I love the feat v Melee armies, seems like a back breaker. Of course, his knockdown is nullified and I am concerned that he can’t do enough damage in to that list before it eventually does get there.

What would you all drop in to a Madrak1 double champs list?

This is an awesome post Trollock, I found it a great help and reference when making the switch to Trolls. Every once in a while I still come back and browse it when looking at/considering something new.
How do you feel about Borka2's three star power rating now that you've got some post CiD games in?

Another general question for you all, do you feel Madrak1 is so strong that he needs to be in your competitive pairing? Most of the lists that I am doing have to answer this simple question: does Madrak1 runs this better? Oddly , it is actually the opposite for me. 6 of the 20 players at the last Steamroller I attended were Trollbloods. I believe we were all rocking Madrak1 in one list. There were already some hard counters showing up in some of the opponents lists. I am quite sure that next even will see even more. I am thinking that Madrak1 is going to the shelved for me for a bit. He is really good in my opinion but not Denny1 Ghostfleet good.

I was pretty lucky and my last Steamroller and did surprisingly well with Bearka PoD and Madrak1 in BoH (OK, pretty lucky should read very lucky).
I keep thinking back to my second match though and I was put in a really tough spot. Scenario was "Breakdown" and my opponent was rocking Morghul2 with some heavies, two long leash Archidons (?), and two min units of Farrow Brigands with UA. Blind + mortality + prey and I thought, yeah, this is no place for Madrak1. Sadly, I realized I was going to get hosed by Borka's small control range (12" with RB) on scenario.
Long story short, I felt really handicapped by PoD without some kind of unit attachment. How does everyone else feel? I think Bombers and Kolgrimma with her spray can help extend the threat range but what about Doomy2 and other melee beast bricks? Are they still a thing?
I'll weigh in myself and say as along as your first list is a good enough general drop then your second list can be something situational and specialized. I have since switched up Bearka to a SotN build and feel confident that I could pair him with something like Kolgrimma in PoD.

Nice write up!!
Earlier you had mentioned that you had dropped Kolgrimma over Madrak four out of four games and were concerned about which matchups you WOULD prefer him as a drop. Still true?

I like the look of that Grim 1 list BFT.
What does it NOT want to see across the table? Looks like maybe a lot of heavy shooting would be bad.
Great in to a lot of melee lists I can think of though. And with the Shaman that's a lot of sprays for infantry...

Thanks to everyone. I actually had the Bomber in there from Band of Heroes and then thought Rok made a better late game piece. I do like Snipe and the ability to spot remove from a distance. I've also seen a throw utilized to score a zone late game.
Double Fell Caller, Bomber, Bouncer takes the cake (thanks for the feedback, please keep it coming). I think it's time to close my eyes and drop it in to anything for while to see how it holds up.

Thanks GD. I was actually looking towards your Gunnbjorn (Southern Open(?)) list. Serious shooting and mass infantry are probably the biggest weaknesses and I think Gunny, MK, D&S and a bomber would handle that nicely. I'm a bit concerned about serious ARM skew as well which is what I mean about this being "too generalist".
I think it's time for a "5 game challenge" to see how it performs!!
