Hi! About to join my local JML! I haven’t played since early mkii, to I’m stoked to be back! I’ll be playing the whole league with Bearka, and posting batreps/pics here as we go!
First let me post my collection, you guys can suggest additions!
Troll bloods:
Warcasters; Ragnor Mad p Mad e Mad 3 Borka 1 Borka 2
Warbeasts; Bomber Blitzer Mauler Rok Mulg Earthborn Impaler Bouncer Bouncer Axer pyre Pyre
Units/solos; Fellcaller Janissa Horgle Kithkar Moses Wells Alten Ashley Totem hunter Feralgeist Sons of Bragg Fennblades max Fennblade ua Champions max Champions ua Skaldi Fire eaters Burrowers Bears & handler Krielstone bearers Krielstone UA
I’m really leaning towards SoTN, and PoD. Would a Glacier King be worth investing in, or should I hold off? Do you guys have any other immediate purchase advice?
The first week is 15 pts, no restrictions. Does anyone have a nice Bearka list in mind?

Immediate purchase advice: Northkin Krielstone elder. Rok/Earthborn/Minstone+Northkin Elder fits nicely at 15pts? It's always hard to know when to add the stone in journeyman leagues but it does so much for the list...

Depending on how experienced with the game your opponents are be careful. Bearka has the potential to absolutely smash opponents if they aren't familiar with the game, especially as he can kill heavies on his own combined with a time walk feat. I might be teaching my Grandma to suck eggs here and you may be aware, but the whole point of Journeyman league is to get newer players into the game and crushing them will often just scare them off Sounds real fun though!

I’m actually fairly new myself. So just kind of learning the ropes. I doubt I’ll win much at first lol Depending on how experienced with the game your opponents are be careful. Good to have a new(ish) pkayer and great choice for a first caster.
I'd highly recommend adding the Northkin UA and if you want to focus on one caster then Dancock's Bearka list is just incredibly solid and would be my choice as a general drop and great way to learn the game. IF the people you are playing are fairly competitive. Bearka's a beast and in the right hands he is tough to handle. At 15 points he would be a monster.
Having said all that here's what I would bring. Forgoing the stone at this low a point value for a min unit of raiders.
War Room Army
Trollblood - Bearka 15
Theme: No Theme Selected 15 / 15 Army
Borka, Vengeance of the Rimeshaws - WB: +27 - Rök - PC: 19 (Battlegroup Points Used: 19) - Earthborn Dire Troll - PC: 14 (Battlegroup Points Used: 8)
Northkin Raiders - Leader & 5 Grunts: 9

Remember, though, that Journeyman leagues are not supposed to be so competitive. That list is fricking brutal! Good to have a new(ish) pkayer and great choice for a first caster. Wait a minute, in the JML rules you can't change casters until week 4 and 45 points.

Wait a minute, in the JML rules you can't change casters until week 4 and 45 points. I'm assuming they are using modified Journeyman rules.

Was considering buying a unit of wardens as well. What would you guys consider our must-have infantry? I already own
Max Champs with skaldi Max Fenns with ua
Was looking into wardens, highwaymen, kriel warriors, northkin raiders. What would you guys suggest? Also are the new Northkin warbeasts worth buying?

I would stay away from Kriel company as you start out, unless your plans include acquiring some huge bases. Warders are amazing delivery pieces for BoH, since you already have Fennblades, they may well be a high priority. First I would recommend a fell caller and Stone scribe chronicler, though. With those two and a running beast, your Fenns can be mat 10 PS 14(15 with Stone) monsters. As my first JML progressed, my beasts transitioned from damage dealers to Charge of the Trolls triggers.
If you get frustrated about scenario losses, start buying into Storm. The bears, fire eaters, and raiders offer a ridiculous tempo advantage that we have never had anything like before.
