So, with CID coming up we know our little bird will be seeing some changes. We've already seen some proposed ideas of a slight discount and adjustment of the animus to have a longer range as well as an increase to Mat 6 and gaining Deceptively Mobile. At that point it would look veeeerry similar to an Archangel, but with lightning rather than fire. What are the odds we see the Skyfire animus buff accuracy to all electrical attacks, not just the typed ranged attacks? I could see it being a difficult rule to achieve in wording, but it wouldn't seem to be breaking balance. I have dreams of supporting the mopey Mistriders with the mopey Stormraptor. At least let our dud models prop each other up. It would be kind of endearing.

After today’s CID, nothing from previous SR rumours seems to have changed: Mat 6 Skyfire Cost 1, Range 10” Deceptively mobile Pathfinder How do u guys feel about it now? I think its still a little weak. i'd like to see a couple more HP (its very squishy), a further point cost drop in light of the fact: Blightbringer costs 32 Judicator costs 34 Victor cots 34 and i'd like to see its ROF buffed to d3+1 because its got no secondary batteries and its melee is quite on the low end, its not like a Victor whos backing up its secondaries and main battery with base unbuffed PS23 or a judicator whos the best gun platform in the game at deleting def 10 heavies who gets to be casually mat 6 PS23 signs and portents with choir. No secondary guns, low melee capability means i want that gun to be compelling

I believe it's secundary batteries are the leaps it generates. I'd like to see straight ROF 2 not sure about the points. Perhaps an extra ability to make it better into colossals? -1 focus on the wings like the ret's small shooting unit? It could go into a colossal not kill it and try to survive by reducing it's retaliatory ability?

The Hype still comes out ahead since its going down to 32ish points.

Melee power is ok, you never seem to mention KD on the fists. It's not great but it's warmachine level. Sacred ward is really good, a huge plus. With targeted dispel being the norm buffs on WWrath are a lot more reliable.
The gun is a dud. You either shoot a prime target or make a "no go" zone. This is a great ability on a heavy, on a gargant feels not enough. Also, the animus is awesome but has 0 use for itself which is a pity...
Plus with the themes in play he only feels at home in secret masters where he buffs the class but doesn't add points towards them. Perhaps this would fix masters? Add warbeasts to the point count?

I don't know if he needs Geomancy, Sacred ward and KD on the fists are pretty darn good and the gun does offer some interesting control.
