Let's discuss the new theme! So, holy crap. Like holy freaking mother puss bucket crap. S This is... well... amazeballs. And that was BEFORE they dropped the rules for the forgeseer. I love playing Karchev, and you can fit 9 warjacks (2 Kodiaks, 3 Juggernauts, 4 Marauders), battle mechanics, and 4 free solos in a theme force. Or, you can quite nicely fit 8, WITH Behemoth, and also get 4 free solos. Or, lets say you want the whole Widomaker squad. Fiiiiiine. Take 2 Kodiaks, 2 Marauders, 4 Juggernauts, Widowmaker Scouts, a Marksman, and 2 Manhungers. BOOM. Drop. The. F-ing. Mic. I am... in heaven.

Seems solid. ONe idea I really like is running behemoth in theme under a seer with another seer around to continue to fuel. Gives us a pretty solid answer to menoth Song of Passage bricks. Probably also something with Hark - I think the question is how best to leverage the free solos - though adding 2 forge seers might be simply all that is required as that really can help Hark maximize what he can do when/if he wants to use mobility to threaten alpha.

Its interesting stuff. Its nonstandard and I think it's more interesting for that. Reposition on battle mechanics is expected, but good in my opinion.
Its been a while since I used Kossites and maybe it might we worth another shot with em? Could be good for tying up the army, especially since AD is cancelled.
Im wondering what Benefits the most from this.
The question is obviously: To Marshal or not to Marshal. It depends on how focus strapped you expect the caster to be.
Is 1 Additional Attack and a Charge, +2 Damage and Blessed and Magic worth not being able to have that 3rd attack and Caster Benefits? Its actually a genuine question unlike the Kovnik.
Also does not interact with Distant Deployment I believe.

I might try to make an OW1 list out if this. Should be interesting.
The Forgeseer can take Sylys's place as a psudo-focus.

And what warjack benefits you are giving up. The "duh yeah" answer to "who benefits most" are casters who already wanted to take a crap ton of warjacks, which are Harkevich and Karchev. Both of these bad boys have very strong battlegroup effects and I wouldn't want to give those up. There may be some less obvious choices for casters here. Did you notice that Kayazy units are eligible, so the Elims are fair game. You can take a really interesting combined arms force here and some stealth candidates (see how I did that) may turn out to like the theme.

The main question is Jaws vs. WG theme. I think B3, Vlad and Hark still favour WG while Karchev, OW and Strakhov favors Jaws.
Also Jaws is perfect for Malakov 2, oh boy will he be good with this theme. Backstabbing kayazy/manhunters/hoarfrosts? Sac pawn into free Santas?
Also OW. If she won't work well with this, she'll never work well.
B2 might be workable with this. Empower will allow him to camp, he'll like combat solos, kayazy will like Fury.
Z2 seems suspect with only Santas to feat on and no Sylys.
Kossites are actually useful here as min unit to contest from Ambush because we'll be slow without Advance move of WG theme. But you probably won't need them since after 2 obligatory Santas you have free manhunter or two who also can contest well enough.

Vlad 1 Is such a Painfully Obvious person to marshal with it HURTS. Like yeah your not gonna get the feat, but they make for great reserves regardless.
As I said, Maybe Zerkova 2 could be an interesting person to try it out with (At least for a chuckle).
Its sad that the One Ranged warcaster who would really benefit from Magical weapon (Harkevitch) doesn't get too. Still hoping for a Revision to Jack Marshals in a Cid though.

Also, remember, anyone and anything can contest. So a Karchev theme with maxed out jack points for 4 free solos is totally legit, since you were clearing the zone out with jacks anyway but now your Forgeseer can score.
OK, at 4 points each, Manhunters were totally overcosted. At free, holy smokes. Just. Wow.

Well, I plugged in my usual OW set up for a battlegroup and got this: War Room Army Khador - New Army Theme: Jaws of the Wolf 75 / 75 Army The Old Witch of Khador - WJ: +18 - War Dog - PC: 3 - Scrapjack - Behemoth - PC: 25 (Battlegroup Points Used: 18) - Kodiak - PC: 13 - Kodiak - PC: 13 - Juggernaut - PC: 12 Greylord Forge Seer - PC: 0 Greylord Forge Seer - PC: 0 Widowmaker Marksman - PC: 4 Kayazy Eliminators - Leader & Grunt: 5 Kayazy Eliminators - Leader & Grunt: 5 Widowmaker Scouts - Leader & 3 Grunts: 8 Battle Mechaniks - Leader & 5 Grunts: 5 THEME: Jaws of the Wolf --- GENERATED : 03/23/2017 02:08:35 BUILD ID : 2034.17-01-07 I feel naked without the Ternion and Forge Seers don't have their own clouds sadly. I might make room for a unit of normal Kayazy because the list overall feels pretty aenemic.

Had to get it book marked and in the SOP of my web time wasting. One thing I am REALLY happy about is how this will work with my usual Hark List and I get Behemoth....and free stuff. Did I mention free stuff ;-) And while I am loving the Jack theme I have to say taht I am ROCKING the free world on the IFP theme with Irusk2. Honestly it is over the top. As someone who didn't like trying to play into Skorne in MK2 because of countercharging Bronzeback the idea of having SIX countercharging hard hitters that MOVE THROUGH MODELS is simply ridiculous. So many of our casters can run it as well (Lord goat may run it better)

Not the usual 2 solo short of a list she has. Ragman will be missed, but those 2 free empowers help generate damage. Maybe it's even worth it to have a Behemoth marshalled to have a blessed+hunter+marshall+2 fully boosted shot jack of doom.

Got my list!
Vlad1 - +28 - Kodiak - 0 - Kodiak - 13 - Kodiak - 13 - Juggernaut - 0 - Juggernaut - 9 Max Unit of Mechanics - 5 - Officer - 3 Max Unit of Mechanics - 5 - Officer - 3 Forgeseer - 0 - Juggernaut - 12 Forgeseer - 0 - Juggernaut - 12
Nice and snug 75 points.
I'll probably pair it with Strakhov2s Legion of Steel
Strakhov2 - +22 - Juggernaut - 0 - Marauder - 0 - Destroyer - 14 - Destroyer - 14 Max Iron Fang Pikemen - 15 - IFP Officer and Standard - 4 Max Iron Fang Pikemen - 15 - IFP Officer and Standard - 4 Great Bears - 9 Iron Fang Kovnik - 0 Iron Fang Kovnik - 0

I made the SAME exact list but used Irusk 2! I figured that I really wanted the extra tactical power of being able to getting tactician in 2 bubbles (one under Irusk and one under Markov). Also Solid Ground lets me drop that 4 inch knock down AOE on my own horses without worry. I figure an aggressive feat - get Irusk2 up close to the action as possible but using the Uhlans to block LOS and then feat for the -3 speed. Battle lust both units of Uhlans and table your opponent.
