Dang. The wording on battle college is misleading.

This list would be interesting. No AD for the opponent. On turn one, Vlad pops feat and moves up the three jacks in Vlad's battlegroup to take up a lot of table space. The two Destroyers marshaled to two Greylord Seers run on turn one but start shooting on turn two. Between aiming, using True Strike!, and S&P, they are shooting at an effective RAT of 10 and hitting at POW 16. Pretty scaring jack spam.
The mechaniks support the jacks and the Widowmaker Marksman and Eliminators hunt for solos.

I instead chose to go for Behemoth over double Destroyer so Vlad can have extra focus to play with. I also adopted for Widows instead of Ladies, although I don't mind Ladies at all, they're absolutely stellar. I liked the idea of spreading out the two Destroyer's in Vlad's battlegroup a bit and use them to contest more area. The Eliminators work independently and have never failed to do something in a game. However, the Behemoth and Widowmaker Scout combo looks solid.

Turn 1 Vlad_1 feat for board control? Considering that now your opponent HAS to deploy regularly, running 16 of the 31 inches that separate both deployment zones may be worth it, maybe?

With such a jack heavy list, the odds of having a vector to use Vlad's feat for an alpha may be minimal if the opponent has infantry screening more optimal charge targets. Feating on turn one and running two Destroyers and Conquest 16 inches increases scenario pressure and puts those S&P AOEs in range of nearly everything outside of their deployment zone. The two jack marshaled Destroyers come in the following round and are really accurate. Again, just spit balling here. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time

Your army contains pre-release entries. I don't have my head wrapped around Strakhov 2 yet to comment, but on your first list I guess I'm not seeing the synergy of Zerkova 1 with 2 colossals. My own experience trying to make double colossals work (with Harkevich) has been a bit dodgy. I think your list might struggle. (See below!). Also, Why the extra mechanics? I'd rather see you drop 10 points of and put in double eliminators. Anyway, I think I figured out how to put Yuri and Friends into a Karchev list with 8 jacks. I had to give up the Widowmaker Scouts, which made me sad, but there's just no way around it without spamming Marauders. Here's what I came up with (and I'd love to face your double colossal Z1 list with it.) It's got two really long range guns to start the RTW daisy chain, and forests go from being a pain in my army's arse to my BFF. (You forget how awesome Treewalker is because Yuri has been collecting dust...admit it). Free Seers also bring back the Berserkers and Mad dogs into usable state. You can run + imprint on Mad dog and not blow up. You can have your charging mat 7 or Pow 18 Berserkers.

But they won't because people like to moan more than they like to play. And the white horse they rode in on... We could be salty about how the jack theme doesn't give us advance move, so sucks compared to the WG theme. Or complain about how the Iron Fang theme doesn't let you have ranged troopers. Or, we could say, "ZOMG", and build Karchev lists with free Manhunters and say "Sweet, now I can use my Manhunters!" And we could put Destroyers in with Uhlans and advance deployed Pikemen and say, "who needs infantry when you can shoot Bombards and charge in REALLY fast." I like building sand castles with the sandbox we've got, thank you.

To be fair their list that takes away advanced deployment is completely pillow fisted.
But I would wish for some extra punch in the crunch as opposed to hating rival lists. =P
