Welcome to the way. As a new player to Circle I highly recommend the tactica above.
Like Mac said; Tanith is a solid caster and does well at both lower and higher point games. That being said Circle warlocks really determine what kind of game you play. Tanith has a distinct style (mostly debuff) and for that reason you may enjoy another caster.
Loki is a new warbeast for us but is widely accepted as a good addition with some very factiony style. He is, like many of our warbeasts, expensive though. Other excellent choices are any of our other warpwolves, woldwyrds, and Megalith. Many of our warbeasts do bring something so useful to the table that it can make up for otherwise lackluster stats. Often it's the animus like the wild argus or gorax. Other times it's an ability like the woldwardens goemancy or moonhound argus' marktarget.
The blackclad wayfarer and gallows groves are both very good solos and reasonably costed. The druid wilder (an attachment) is also decent.
The reeves of Oroboros are very good on Tanith but still useful with other warlocks too, especially with a max unit and the unit attachment. I probably wouldn't field them in a 25 point list though. The shifting stones and sentry stone with mannikins are both very popular (and cheap) units that give you a wide range of tactical options. Most of our other units favour certain warlocks/playstyles. Be wary of the ones that use corpse tokens. Also, be aware that Circle has access to a lot of minion solos and units.
Circle, as you may have heard, is a difficult faction to master. We have a lot of tricks and domino effects but also many ways that things can go wrong. Things are rarely straight forward or obviously good. Don't get disheartened. Have fun.

Congratulations on your sponsorship. I have heard good things about Broken Egg but I have yet to use them. Be careful they don't compromise your viewpoint. It's a slippery slope to whoring. ๐๐๐๐

Mostly Circle with smaller forces of Legion and Cygnar. Also play heavily with mercs and minions in those factions. I mostly play factions for the specific casters in the faction. I've kicked around the idea of Farrow and I'm intrigued by Grymkin but funds are tight right now so I'm keeping spending low.

I haven't tried it myself but I seem to recall some people saying he wasn't horrible with the stonemonkey either.

This seems pretty cool. Siege2 might be fun and I am pretty keen on getting a trencher theme. I hope it is balanced but interesting. I feel like the trollblood stuff could be a reference to their Northkin theme list but I don't expect to see it soon so maybe not. I would love to see the trollbloods represented a bit more in Cygnar, they do after all have a large population of "city trollkin". Other then Grenediers do any other jacks seem particularly in theme with trenchers? Sentinels maybe?

So a podcast got me thinking about something. Caine is one of my favorite Cygnar warcasters, especially Caine2. He's had some changes/additions recently though. How do we feel about him now? Which version of him do we like best? Do we think mercenary Caine3 is appropriate? What changes to his army build are we thinking? Etc.
My thoughts: -The nerf to Caine2 really hurt his game. Which is to say assassination. -Caine3 is going to watch his caster unit die a lot. Def 14/arm 11 with 5 boxes makes deadmen walking. -Caine3 actually offers some support (gasp) that he wouldn't just rather have on himself. -Caine1 still holds up pretty well and I like his (fairly generic) spell list. Except the 4 focus thunderstrike which is just too costly on a 6 focus caster. -I think the theme lists will all be ok with him but don't really see much stand out there. -I don't know how well he's going to run merc lists, ironic considering how many mercs you often want in his Cygnar lists. I do like the fact he is partisan though. -Despite the fact the Caines benefit nicely from power up I don't feel they gain as much as many other casters because you still don't want a bunch of jacks.
There is more ideas but that's a good start. What about you?

Looks a little spammie there Swampmist.
Morvahana2 (+27) 2x Woldwatchers 2x Woldguardians
The 4 warbeasts can only barely provide Morvahana with her full fury. She out paces her battlegroup, alot. Her feat literally does nothing, but she's doing most of the work. She has minimal ways to heal herself but will probably be using a fair bit of life force to buff herself, the other models, and in short order her Fury stack.
"Better" yet: Morvahana2 Druid wilder 2x wold watchers Rotterhorn gryphon Celestial Fulcrum War wolf
Leaves you down 2 wp but you can't use it.

I really like the idea behind the theme lists but am often disappointed by the mechanics of them. If Privateer is using them as a fixer of sub-par units and not just making those units decent, well that's bullshit.
I'm definitely not a fan of spam lists. I think they're boring and cheap.

Did my first testrun last night (as the opponent) and I was quite impressed with the piggybacks. At least as survivable as I was expecting while being surprisingly good at damage output.

I'm intrigued but still not quite clear what this entails nor specifically how it's done.

Hey Chucky-C, loving your blog man. Couple quick questions for you:
1) I have seen the term "windmill slammed" used a couple times. What does that mean?
2) How did you find the Wurmwood/Kaya3 match up? I mean aside from the ill-fated assassination do you feel that match favored you or him?

Your friend is right. Hyper-aggressive is good. However, it can often be mitigated by placement of models and order of activation. If your feral is engaged and gets shot he can only move if he can go directly towards the attacking model and stops when he hits obstructions or models even if he just clips it. The feral also suffers any free strikes he triggers by leaving threatened opponents. Not to mention moving half way across the board does him no good if he takes as many as 4 armor piercing and 2 weaponmaster boosted damage shots to the face before he gets to attack. Twice that if it's his feat turn. Def 14/18 is also very good but so is boosted rats of 9-10. He was using guided fire, fire group and aimed shots or some such combination right? Sloan also has the spell refuge which allows a model to move after it successfully hit a target and doesn't suffer free strikes for that move. I'm fairly surprised your feral made it to Sloan before dying.
As a gunline list he wants to take as many shots as he can on you before you engage him but that's why your taking a caster that gives your whole battlegroup hyper-aggressive presumedly. Keep in mind that warbeasts can only be forced in your casters control area too.
If he finds his rather vicious gunline spam list struggling against your rather nasty hyper-mobile beatstick army he may want to consider a more versatile list of unchargeable infantry, counter charging jacks with auto knockdown (Ol'Rowdy) and war casters that can prevent you from doing anything for a whole turn. I assure you, Cygnar has ways of beating Kromac2.

Interesting. There may well be validity to this. However, products like this are heavily reliant on the passions and trust of it's customers and the lose of those may well act as a significant amount of bad press. I myself am willing to let these perceived slights go unpunished, inpart because I think their products quality warrants it. I know I'm not alone but many people are taking this very personally.
Myself I hope this doesn't do permanent damage like I have seen in other "geek chic" hobbies which have suffered sever backlash for the same kind of marketing snafus.
