New all in one Box 2017
I played a game against a friend of mine, and I am not sure If we played the rules correctly. If we did everything correctly, and what are his options to defend against this.
My list:
Kromak 2
Ghetorix
Feral Warpwolf
Warpwolf stalker
2x Rotterhorn griffin
His list:
Sloan
Reinholdt
4x Hunter
Eiryss, Angel of Retribution
Major Katherine Laddermore
3x Storm Lance
Stormsmith Storm Tower (filler points)
This is the first time I have ever played any Hordes army so getting used to the animus and Fury aspects of the game was a little different.
He wins the dice roll and lets me go first.
Turn 1: (Circle) I run up the left side of the board where there was the most amount of terrain. Leading the charge was the 2 griffins and the WW Stalker. Everything out front was in cover.
Turn 1:(Cygnar) Walked everything forward towards my right side of the board. Horses were on my far right.
Turn 2: (Circle) Eiryss was just out of charge range. Moved WW Stalker with 8 of Eiryss and tried a primal shock, which failed miserably, I then ran 1 griffin in to her back ark, I ran another griffin in to base with a hunter. Everyone else runs up
Turn 2: (Cygnar) Feat turn he moves his hunters up starts shooting kills the WW Stalker(Forgot about Hyper-Aggressive) and takes one of the griffins down to 1 box. Runs his horses to try and lure Ghetorix out of the woods.
Turn 3: (Circle) Circle feat, use awakened spirit to cast Ghetorix animus. I charged Ghetorix at the horses I placed him so I could get optimal distance out of his overtake moves. I ended up killing all 3 horses and Laddermore’s mount. (My opponent was a bit surprised) Run my Feral WW up and used the +2Speed to get as close as possible.
Turn 3: (Cygnar) he moves Sloan and shoots at my Feral WW. I take damage and use Hyper-Aggressive and move within melee damage of one of his hunters. He then shoots him again I take damage and move within melee range of another hunter and his caster. He also missed a few times so I took little damage.
Turn 4: Feral WW destroyed Sloan
Questions:
1. With Hyper-Aggressive I can move 8” every time I take damage as long as it is directly at the person shooting at me correct? My friend thought this seem way too good as 2 hits and I will be in his face, and when in melee trying to hit 18 is not easy.
2. He was thinking of all the options that Cygnar has and he wants to know how to defend against this or play in to this list. He said he could not think of any, He does have quite a variety of models.
