I know at LEAST three players in our meta are buying in.
If you have cheap and common shield guards I guess you don't care. If you are in OUR faction try this on for size (and I am sure this isn't even as good as it gets)
Locke+Vulcan+Vidicator+Alyce
Guidance=No Stealth - so that ain't saving your jack in case you were hoping Red Line so the Vulcan is effective SP 8 and POW 23. Guided Fire (totally not needed but just in case) - this will thus reliably hit DEF 16 casters. Aqua rockets (x3) - Pow 16 (Rust). two boosted; all column of choice. Rng 16 Vindicator - Aims and boosts so RNG 16 and POW 16 4dice.
For those scoring at home that is 19 points of damage on a Khador Jack. You only need 12 to remove our cortex columns. And the faction has access to grevious. We haven't even considered the flamethrowers.
How in the bleep did these things get through CID? Is this what power creep looks like? What are your plans for taking on what will soon be the best shooting faction in the game?
<Edit - Reloading the rockets would mean the third one is not boosted>

Did much change from the CID? If not, I'm going to assume that they still suffer from needing loads of support just to get to parity.
Depending on how things like Locke turned out, they have some stand-out unbalanced things, but overall they didn't seem powerful

Probably can expect more sky is falling threads as people lose to them a bunch before the meta adapts and they actually learn to play against them. Til Then

sand20go lockes field marshall was changed in CID to provide precision strike on melee weapons only. Just to nitpick, shes not going to be sniping cortexes at range.

It's a shooting faction, so you drop OW2 and they cry and go home.

So I was focused on the shooting and didn't even realize the "real" trick
Run the Vulcan 16 inches with bulldoze wherever you want to and then use Jackhammer.

You can only bulldoze things 1 time So...first contact + 2 inches

So a buffed colossal and a heavy can cripple (not even kill) a single khador heavy at range. Is a khador heavy supposed to survive 40 points of dedicated shooting? This doesn't sound like anything new. I would be surprised if similar firepower-oriented colossal/gargantuans paired with their premier shooter heavy of choice couldn't pull similar numbers.
Heck, an Archangel + ravagore is averaging about 27 damage into an ARM 20 and that's without any kind of caster buffs.

Hmmm.... Jackhammer is only like 6 inch range right? Not sure they want their casters too far forwards. You can arc it, but as far as I can tell their arc nodes take damage to the node systems when they arc, so I think they can only arc two spells before they burn out? So that's two swings? I can't be bothered to check the details right now, so I could be wrong.
Also you can stop bulldoze by putting two models one behind the other, so the front one can't be pushed.

As with a lot of things in this game:
Yes Locke can get to you if you screw up your positioning. Please don't.
There's many other problems here, like that the rocket can only shoot twice instead of 3 times and that apparently you've, again, walked into range of literally everything like Little Red Riding Hood into a forest filled with snakes. Also the Arc Node thing or the fact that Redline has to be pre-cast on the Vulcan, telegraphing this OP play. Or that the Vulcan cannot boost whilst doing so and is only POW 19/21, so I guess on average rolls it'll kill a heavy? Probably?
Furthermore have you actually played against CG and their Warjacks? Because their heavies and their Colossal are very much glass cannons, deliberately so to balance how strong their guns are. Locke's feat can only do so much and is very much under the control of the opponent.
Now if you want to complain about any of this properly you should have started whinging about Locke in Convergence.

The take home is basically: CG will kill you dead at range if you let them, so don't.

We also have marauders.
Bring Strakhov1 or Vlad1 or OW2 and just start throwing marauders at them. I think a interceptor dies to like one marauder on average if you give it a focus point.

Surprisingly I think it does.
