Current CotW has 1 beast based ability just like Wild hunt... If they follow a Thornfall theme logic you get 1 ability for BG and one for whatever keyword the theme is looking at.

I would be really upset if they go for tracker instead of the animus cost reduction...

Don't even think it. The animus cost reduction is half of what makes that theme fun; you get to use all the weird ones that don't see play normally.

At that point you might as well just put dev host into everything because tharn are clearly stronger than everything else.
Animus cost reduction makes for a great theme!

I spoke with Jeff at Lock and Load about this theme - it's keeping animus reduction and losing tracker.

So the new Wild Hunt theme is up, what do you all think?
Biggest exclusion for me is no Loki and I suppose the fact that shifting stones can't be free (although the stones is a minor gripe). I really want Loki in a theme, but it looks like he will continue to warm my shelf.
On a positive note, I think the theme itself fixes a ton of issues that COTW had. The ability to take cheap units for scenario presence is huge as an example. The triple gallows / war wolf are interesting free options. I think the 3x gallows is a really solid addition for some warlocks. I had a lot of success with a 10 man reeves unit with Wurmwood at the start of MKIII. They softened targets up which I could then kill with my beasts. That combined arms style will be something I look forward to trying out.
I am also very curious to see the full theme for Dev Host and Bones. I am hoping Dev host remains unchanged and I am curious how bones will change now that they are removing all the +2 inch deployment benefits.
Life has been coming at me fast the last year, but I am finally able to start playing again. With that in mind, I am really excited to return to the game with these changes in place!

Bloodhawk, you know Loki is available in dev host, right?
On a side note, I really like the theme. I've always thought anything wolves was pretty good, the problem was a lot of my wolfsworn lists from back in the day (summer 2017) often had 1 free card max. They are a decent chaff unit, they are an amazing anything unit, but Reeves are pretty bad most of the time and skinwalkers are sort of in a weird spot where they are just bad. But I am very excited to play this theme as a beast heavy theme with an ambushing unit.

I played during CID, but stopped playing shortly after that when life got busy (my daughter was born and my son turned 2). I now have a bit more game time available so I am getting back into the game!

I'm going to have to do some scrambling to cope with the fact that stones aren't a free model option anymore - especially because I was half-expecting them to be 2-for-1 - but apart from that I've got no complaints. Kept the animus discount, which I thought was the heart of Call. (I know you all said so, but it's good to see it in something official...)

Stones not being free hurts, it wildly affects my kromac list... but getting 3 disposable solos in dogs helps. With 4 of the scenarios having flags, getting some cheap, utterly disposable models to score them will be nice.

Yeah, my Kromac2 list actually loses a solo - going from 4 to 3, which I was hoping might be made up for by 2-for-1 shifting stone requisitions, but no such luck. Still, I think the new version is probably better, so I'm not really complaining.

To be fair, I don't think it was likely that they would give units, even cheap ones, as a 2-for-1 choice. They were probably an option as a single free choice, but at 3 points and looking at the other options, nobody would take them (and everybody would complain about the logic), so it was probably the best choice to just not have them as a requisition option.

Anything going extremely beast heavy is probably taking 1 for free.
