There seems a distinct lack of forward thinking planning Look at what s happened in the lastl year mark 3 dropped pp sold every one faction decks now they're sticking them online The abominable keynote was all about faction books and now they're dropping them Out of the blue there's dropping the press gang and forums And now a new faction every year
Everything stinks of short term reactionism rather than forward planning My reaction comes not from rage but from fear , all these actions look like a company that is in desperate need of having better looking profit and loss accounts than a company with a clear vision and direction

The Mk3 decks are still useful. We all know why the PG program ended. The old forums can rot in hell. Making new factions makes more business sense than making more books that no one will buy. PP has its share of responsibility for the past year, but that doesn't excuse the player base being a bunch of spazzes.

Just to clarify, are you saying all of PP's out of the blue changes and seemingly snap decisions ate the fault of the player base?

Just to clarify, are you saying all of PP's out of the blue changes and seemingly snap decisions ate the fault of the player base? What I said was these "seemingly snap decisions" make some degree of sense for a company that's struggling for profit. That shouldn't be taken as a sign that the game is dying and it's time to sell everything now, but I know that won't stop most of you.

You did, but then you followed it up with a statement implying those decisions were the players fault. Thank you for clarifying.

I am fairly certain, though a very active and skilled player, Tom Guan was not a major part of PP's income. Players come and go. Top level players are not different.

Anyone know anything about his life? About his reasons for leaving the game?
This is speculative at its worst.
PP has been pivoting more than Pied Piper (Silicon Valley series) this leads to mixed signals and the image of a headless chicken running around. Add that to GW behaving like it's not alone in the universe and PP has a challenge before it.

Add that to GW behaving like it's not alone in the universe and PP has a challenge before it. One of the posters on the press gang facebook page said he was quitting to focus on magic the gathering. In magic someone good enough could theoretically support themselves just on winning tournaments.
