I just find it hilarious that he has another casters feat as a spell (Caine3), and access to Veil of Mists, that is strictly better than Jarl's feat clouds. you think that's bad, go look at gorshade -1 in ret.... He has a spell that denies casting and FEATS in his ctr range. Yeah, you cannot feat while in his 14" control range. Stupidity... I saw that one, it's nuts. I swear it has to be like the only rule in the game that interacts with feats directly. At least that I know of. It's a neat idea, but I hope it's left there for funzies and doesn't enter the game proper.

Oh for sure he's got to be, now that fluff-wise he's back. I meant in this alternate timeline, he'd have never left, so him and Stryker 1 could just switch places.

Because it *didn't* exist as a spell first, though Synergy did. And who has a feat that is just Signs and Portents? Well issyria for one and she also throws up true sight, i can make a list of every caster with a one turn signs and portents feat if you would like there are a good hand full Ok, but that wasn't the point I made whatsoever. It's that Leto's spell is word for word Caine's. No more, no less. I simply found that amusing, no need to get so snarky about it.

Yeah, I think with some tweaking to bring some of his lacking areas up to par, he could be a really fun and interesting way to play the game. That or just give us Magnus still in Cygnar instead and call it a day.

So what do people think of the human refugee? He seems like he'd be a sure fit in Kriel Company, but PoD could also be hilarious with a boatload of Impalers and a Mauler.

By the way, is it possible for Black Ivan to use its Bombard 3 times in 1 turn if it is feat turn? 1) Harkevich casts Broadsides (and pops feat), Black Ivan makes an auto-boosted Bombard attack. 2) Black Ivan fires an auto-boosted Bombard attack before charging as per the feat 3) Black Ivan makes a Point Blank attack if it gets into 0.5" on its charge. If this is possible then maybe 19 points isn't quite that over-costed... I think 2 and 3 are both making use of his initial shot, though I could be wrong on that front.

I ran a slapped together list tonight with Jarl at the helm since I hadn't in a while. Played it into Bradigus Wold fun. It didn't go exceptionally, but I can definitely see the potential for him.
Trollbloods Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] Storm of the North
(Skuld 1) Jarl Skuld, Devil of the Thornwood [+30] - Dire Troll Bomber [19] - Dire Troll Brawler [16] - Rok [19] - Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Fell Caller Hero [5] Valka Curseborn, Chieftain of the North [0(6)] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] Northkin Raiders (max) [15] Trollkin Champions (max) [16] - Skaldi Bonehammer [5]
It's nothing to write home about, but I don't have most of the major SotN stuff, I was proxying the Raiders to see if I really want to buy them, and have no bears sadly. Hot damn does not having to upkeep quicken feel nice though.

Could you be any more of a dismissive and petulant child? You literally are so dead set to declare him bad, and just bad mouth anyone who says otherwise and tell them they're "flat wrong" for not agreeing with you. Do you want your cookie and to say you're right? Just let people enjoy their piece they will get mileage out of while you sit around moping that other people like it.

So wait... His Rat 7 isn't good? But his ability to knock things down with Thunderbolt *also* isn't good because we don't need to knock things down to hit them "since we're doggamn Cygnar"?

I have played a good number of games with Jr's in my lists, and I have a pretty easy time keeping them alive. Sticking a charger on Jakes1 is fine, cause it can reposition with energizer and I don't feel like I'm wasting anything, while she stays safe and sometimes pops off a shot. Same goes for Trencher Jr. In fact, the most pressure I've felt on them lately was this week when a friend fielded Greylord Outriders. They were fast enough with enough sprays to actually angle a threat at them while on a hill or behind cover. Terrain is usually easy to use to protect a Jr.

I've said from the start that these models would've been super cool for like a flavour league/season. Kinda like the faction swap one from forever ago. Beyond that, I think they don't do much good for the game as a whole, but I might just be a whiner, so who knows.

There absolutely is evidence they are not good. People have been trying to make them work for years now, again and again, every which way. And yet we still see no real success with them. That's pretty damn telling if you ask me.

My general purpose list goes something along the lines of: conflictchamber.com/#c6201b_-0J82c58k5Y9r5I9v8T7y9uiBMercenary Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Irregulars (Montador 1) Captain Bartolo Montador [+26] - Galleon [39] - Mariner [14] - Mule [15] - Rover [15] - Talon [7] - Sylys Wyshnalyrr, The Seeker [0(4)] Master Gunner Dougal MacNaile [0(4)] Orin Midwinter, Rogue Inquisitor [0(5)] Ragman [0(4)] Steelhead Halberdiers (max) [11] The Halbs are just throwaway jam, the Talon is hilarious under Batten, the rest capitalize on his broadside, and most of the solos are whatever I have around/feel I need and switch on the regular. It's seen a goodly amount of success, but I would say isn't the greatest Bart list by any stretch.
