Week 4 update. Switched to Dreamer. Will take some time to get used to her tool box. Manifest Destiny has caused a Barnabas2 player to rage quit turn 2... (Honestly thought, and told my opponent, that I overextended and he was in a great position to kill half my army with his warlock alone. Mat 8 and Dark Shroud with two of my heavies right next to each other.)

Mainly played Heritic and Old Witch. I never played much of the other warlocks. (To be honest, my skill with the game are mediocre.)
I am thinking of switching to Dreamer. While far from a point and shoot tool box, I believe that practicing it in a escalating points league would be beneficial.
My opponents are keenly aware of the Shadow Arcana. Only got it off once.
Here is my progress if interested. Hopefully I do not disappoint.
So far... Week 1 Loss - Barnabus knock down feat, killed my battlegroup. Win - Caster kill, opponent underestimated Abuse range increase. Win - battlegroup kill, opponent rolled poorly on his damage, everything survived for full retaliation.
Week 2 (added Cage Rager) Win - Caster kill. Got stupid lucky on dice. Should have lost. Win - Caster kill. Opponent felt sorry and let me win (I was out ranged, out gunned and out maneuvered by merc jacks).

I have never played The Dreamer. I will play a few test rounds with her.
Thank you for the advice. Now to buy a few more cage ragers. =)

The local gaming group has started a Journeyman league. In which I have decided to run Grymkin. Due to the rules on list building and weekly limitations. I would like to receive constructive criticism on my planned weekly builds. Because you have to keep all previous models used (only units can be adjusted for size), not all lists are the full 75 points. Theme, when allowed, is Dark Menagerie. privateerpress.com/organized-play/leagues/journeyman-league-rulesBOLD = New Italics = Change Week 1 shows the approved starter box, week 2-5 shows the additions and changes, week 6 shows final 75 point list. I really like the FE in a circle around the bomber idea. Will need to play that next game.
For trolls, I don't have that many casters. Hoarluk Doomshaper (1 and 2), Hunters Grim, Jarl Skuld, and Ragnor Skysplitter.
I heard Jarl isn't played. I could try Hoarluk 2, (axers, maulers, mulg, and pile of whelps??). Haven't gotten much play time with the others honestly.
Other than what's on my lists, I have Scouts, Warders, Horthal, Janissa, whelps, Skinner, slag troll, MK, earthborn, bouncer, ice, and impaler. (Boomhowler unit from mercs, but people don't seem to like them.)
Would another caster be better? Thanks again for the input =)

Sadly I do not have any brawlers or northkin stuff, yet. Planning on getting some later this year. ($85 a box... ;_; ) Thank you for the advice though. Will drop the pyers and the weapon crews. Other than the raiders, I can run the first list. Will have to try a few game with Horgle and the mountain king, just to see what i can get out of them. Thank you!

Been playing a lot of Horgle recently. Trying to figure out a decent list for what I feel is a good caster. Though any shortcomings with him are likely my fault.
Usually my lists are filled with any old stuff. But since everyone at the local store is practicing for upcoming tournaments, I need to do better if I'm to present my opponent with a decent practice game.
The wagon has never let me down. Getting a decent feat turn is usually the issue. Horgle is, more often then not, to far back to get a good portion of enemy models in control range. Fire eaters have killed each other most games (box cars on damage, every game...), and getting continuous fire on enemy models has been iffy. The idea originally was to swap Firestarter on the bombers as they throw out AoE, but that hasn't panned out.
What should I change in my lists? Or what tactics should I utilize?

Impressive to have painted so much so quickly! Whew... I can’t imagine how long that would take me. Lll +1 This is very impressive, and good looking armies to boot! I'm still working on finishing up my 3 Battle Boxes, and that's taken me almost a full year. Congrats on some very nice looking armies! Also, cool use of the Undercity miniatures. I have to ask, did you rebase them, or are they still on the softer plastic bases they came on? I've got all the board games so far (except for the Black River Irregulars) and I've yet to start on mine but I had figured on rebasing them eventually. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on that. I probably should have re-based them, as any close look at them shows they dont match the normal bases. But they look fine from a distance. no ones noticed during normal play. The biggest concern was actually the primer. Spray primer on the Undercity models became very tacky, hard to handle and leaving fingerprints in the paint. you may want to hand paint them the base color instead of using spray primer.

I already commented on the other forums, but... interesting model you swapped in for Croe. It's an IKRPG model I think? Do you not like the original Croe model? I used several models from the "The Undercity" Iron Kingdom board game set. Two of the Freebooters, Croe's cutthroats (think its a generic gang boss model for Croe), and the rogue alchemist being used as Gorman Di Wulfe (tucked behind Colbie in the photo). Using the rest of the models would be a decent start to some Cephalyx....

In June a local game store started a Warmachine/Hordes league. Picked up the Trollblood and Cygnar starter sets. I set the goal of painting every army I started. And 6 months later, here are the results. (finished the last model December 27) While not the best paint job. I'm still proud of the volume and over all quality. Hope you guys like them ~8) Smaller group shots for Trollbloods Smaller group shorts for Cygnar Smaller group shorts for Grymkin Smaller group shorts for Merc's

Casual player, and first time posting.
Would it be acceptable to use rules different than what the models came with? As long as the models looked the part.
Reason I'm asking, I picked up the Hallowmen for Grymkins. Theoretically, if I were to play you, would you allow me to run them as Cygnar Trencher Infantry, or possibly Steelhead Riflemen? Would a conversion help? Such as swapping the heads for a full head cover helmet?
I'm used to the 40k community, where conversion work is encouraged to a degree, and as long as its easily identifiable, its often not a concern. Though my experience in the Warmachine community is localized only.
