The more discussion I see and the more reports I read the more I think that maybe we should consider dropping the +ARM portion of the Blightbringer's 'Dragon's Breath' power. It just seems to be causing too many issues and I think we might be better off if we removed it ad compensated the Blightbringer in other ways. Any thoughts?

Well, let's open up the CID PDF and have ourselves a look-see... Oh what's that? Mat 6? With the option to hit mat 8 on its own? Huh. And that's one, two... yup, 3 initials. Cool. I'm sorry? Pow 18 and 2 pow 17s you say? Wow. Seems like it could do some damage in melee. Ok, but let's see the animus. Auto hitting spray 8 pow 10 that sets you on fire even if it fails to kill? Not sure I want to charge my infantry into that anymore. I'm sorry, how does what you said not describe exactly what it is right now? Glacier King Mat 6 guaranteed stationary. Huh. 2 initials at Pow 19, in faction rage, Pow 22 unrelated to caster, 5 Fury. Seems like it could do some damage in melee Animus - Auto knockdown vs non-cold immune models. Not sure I want to charge my Anything into that. Snowfall, hands out concealment to trolls within 3". Sounds pretty similar support-y ability. I'm sorry, how is the Blightbringer unreasonable?

You misunderstand, I'm not saying it's unreasonable. I'm saying that blarg's wishlist is already reality, plus a couple bonuses for the army on top. It seems ok to me.

It would mean it doesn't loose half the effect for our single wound infantry. No idea what you could replace it with that wouldn't go off the rails. +2 def in melee gets into just as dumb a territory, considering serpentine and Fyanna. +2 to hit has already been rallied against and is really just redundant. Fire immunity would make some Protectorate players go raving mad. there's literally no stat left to pick from... Speed doesn't makes sense. What if it was only +2 armor against only Ranged? Or only melee? Which would people freak out about less?

Maybe change the aura to affect models that start their activation in it?

Go back to the old Legion standby of +1/+1 def/arm. That moves the needle but doesn't redline anything.

Id rather split the benefit to either +2 arm or +2 strength.
