Interesting. I don't think she/Ghost Fleet is nerfed enough, that Kolgrim POD is a good drop. Yes her (Denny) assassination got removed more or less, but the list (GF) is still superior in attrition and scenario - even against the godlike spray. They still return to play and charge/shoot/jam your stuff. That part did'nt get nerfed for some reason... But hey, you are the expert here! The big question now is: Will the cryx players drop her and Ghost Fleet like a bad habit?

I think any current grim build is able to play into gf with the help of adr.

Why?
He has no RFP like Gunnbjorn, or volume of attack like Kolgrima. Yes his feat is good, but will only delay the inevitable swarm of recursion dudes.

Even if you may very well see Denny GF still, the likelihood went from 100% to something significantly lower. To dodge the match up is probably a reasonable strategy now.

Awesome! I will head over there right away Exactly my point. If the salt is High Reclaimer, Madrak2, Haley2 levels, then the meta will change for sure. Which is great for Trollbloods, if Cryx gets worse.

The Nerf to her Feat really hurts Denny and I think she will drop in popularity. Cryx already got plenty of good themes and will switch to other lists.
After some thoughts I would drop kolgrima into gf. Gf already struggles to crack armor without dennys debuffs. Mulg + owl will help 2 beasts to be immune to her spells + clouds + sprays + perhaps longshops in adr could really swing the matchup.

Would be nice if Runeshapers were actually good enough to play with as well... I have seriously considered Croaks or Brigands, which would help solve a lot of the scenario issues. In that scenario though, I'd probably excise the bomber package entirely, cut the Knot for Eilish (bc at that point I don't need the other 2 Puppet Masters and I'd rather have a solo and the extra point) and move to a Brawler and a light. Yeah cool, I thought about the same. I like the Croak Raiders or even Nyss, but they are quite expensive.
Good point on Eilish > Knot, when there are not 3 eligible targets.

Great article, you really did a good job of bringing attention to some of the interactions that are easy to overlook with her.
Do you think there is a middle ground with one bomber? Or is it an all other none kind of thing?

It might be viable. My main issue is if I'm even going to consider the assassination I'm going all in and would be double bomber. Instead I'd try something like double Ice instead of the single bomber or Ice Winter to double up on your Cold synergies.

I would consider saxxon as a contesting solo for your flag. He is one of the best solos to score at your flag.
Do you really think u need a unit for contesting? My thoughts would be a bouncer arm21 + earth blessing + cloud really need a lot of investment to remove.
Feralgeist or the new minions shield guard unit could help for scenario play too.

When it comes to Merc/ minion stuff with her I tend to like units like the bellows crew or L and E with her. If you need to you normally have solos in the form of welps and a shaman or two. The bellows are cheap and work with the cloud theme and L a and E have some anti-shooting and ant-cloud tech.
I've been looking at Lynyssa more too. She seems redundant,but gains stealth in clouds, can be used as a target to snipe sprays and if something with flight or pathfinder tries to hide behind terrain feat then winter storm can take it out for two turns. Worse case she has a pow 14 gun.

I played the list from the article tonight into Strakhov2 IFP spam (3x units, 2x kovniks, the cav solo and the new character solo) and felt pretty good about it. Bottom of 1 killed about half a unit of quickened pikemen he tried to shove into my face with advance move. Bottom of 2 I finish off that unit and kill off half of another unit under his feat and counterfeat to limit his retaliation. I got greedy and sprayed 3x and did 1 cloud when I should have done 2x spray 2x cloud which would have prevented him from landing on Mulg at all. Thankfully Mulg lives with ~8 boxes as the push from my feat makes it so certain models just don't have the distance through terrain. I clear things around Mulg, use a bomber to kill the cav solo and Mulg helps Kolgrima spray down Strakhov.
I was really surprised at how much raw infantry I could pull off the table, even through Quicken and IR and Shield Wall and minifeat (even his feat TBH). Kolgrima really is an one-size-fits-all murder machine.
I think my opponent could have spread out better to try and force a scenario play (barbell scenario I can't ever remember the name of). Mulg can only be in one place at a time so it should be pretty easy to contest the rectangle while holding at least one of the circles and keep doing it until I run out of pieces to contest or until clearing the zones gives him a win. Maybe the attrition play would allow me to crush a flank before then but its definitely the ultimate test of any Kolgrima POD list to handle a scenario like this.
