The WWS will be free in the theme... And they aren't there for that one jack, they are amazingly good solos on their own merits. They are like if Forge Seers were something other than a focus bot. You know, stealth, shadow bind, 8" spray...
If they trade slayers for juggers then they win...

Amazing flag scorers too.
As opposed to our spd 4 walking suits of armour.

And that's just one combo... I mean they actually get decent jack casters too... Gorshade for example has battle group Dark Shroud and can teleport jacks to his own models. Mort has a battle group flank feat. And of course there are lots of damage fixers in Cryx.
I think once Cryx players cotton onto the fact that they have 10 point jacks that are going to be POW 18+ in most lists with 3 initials and that power up exists... I'm pretty sure Cryx jack spam is actually a pretty decent thing once they get this theme. Sure they die when another heavy gets on them in melee, but they out threat most heavies and will trade up easily.

You know, stealth, shadow bind, 8" spray... If they trade slayers for juggers then they win... You are mixing your stuff. WWS are free in Infernal Machines which gets its points from Units. In Black Industries (the one with Carapace) only the 7 point lights are free. Most of the Jack casters in Cryx encounter one problem with their freebies. Its difficult to get all 3 since their WJP are quite low. So for a decent amount of support you often can only take 2 free Jacks (which is still good). Another Problem the Cryx jacks have is focus efficency. The have some but it limits it quite a lot. Seethers are great on their Jack marshal and in general since they charge for free and Berserk, but they are only 12-17. Slayers are okay with Debuffs but generally play like Marauders with a worse combo strike. Inflictors are tanky and Shieldguards + Bonus dmg against Beasts. We will have to wait and see which builds get popular. It depends a lot on the caster to be honest. Gaspy3 for example has a real problem fueling his jacks (similar to Hark)

Well, no free WWS is less punishing. But I mean you're still going to take two of them... Since you're not paying for your arc node lights, you're still going to have the points to easily fit the WWS.
I think I would be looking at taking two marshals with either Seethers or Slayers depending on what other jacks the caster wants to run. Along with two WWS of course.
Many of their Jack casters do have trouble fuelling jacks due to wanting to cast their powerful spells, but that is no different to other factions. They do have the Wither Shadow Combine or cheaper but less good Skarlock to help with casting certain things and of course Death Jack if they want to invest the points. They have access to decent focus fixers. We can only dream of having a caster attachment as amazing as the Wither Shadow...

Withershadow combine doesn't work with upkeeps *cough* literally all debuffs except mortality *cough* No, but they let you upkeep for free and hand out re-rolls so you don't have to worry about boosting 7's to land your debuffs. Plus they can cast your one round stuff like ghost walk. This all improves the amount of focus you have to allocate to battle group.
