The Druids make for interesting characters. Probably also one of my favorite factions.

I have always liked the Druids of this setting for being different from your sterotypical nature loving druids.
They have a noble goal, just questionable and extreme means by which they go about it.

I feel like the druids are having their ill name besmirched here.
Of my 3 factions (Circle, Cryx and Legion) I definitely feel the most villainous are the Circle.
Sure Everblight spreads his blight like a weird steroid-cancer, and Cryx only refrain from twirling their mustaches because their dead pasty faces cannot grow facial hair, but Circle are the only guys who genuinely take being d1cks to an art form. Is there anyone who can look at how Ghetorix has been screwed over and not see who the true villains are here? And he was screwed over by Morvahna, supposedly one of the "good" druids...

From horned lady pirates that enslave and force men to reproduce wit them...and then if those babies are boys they get tossed into the sea, to Power Hungry Necromancers that take joy in capturing, enslaving, and torturing the souls of people...I mean dude, at least circle are only dicks to your body (well expect for wurmy) I will admit while circle as an organization is supposed to be preventing the return of the Wurm and bringing "balance" to the world. The leaders mostly end up being selfish pricks who only care about power, land, etc. You have the omnipotents like Mohsar who may be a dick but he is at least following what the circle was founded for pretty close (banished the wurm with doomy like a boss!) But mostly you have morvannah who is awful, Kruger who while pursuing what I consider a decent goal (wiping out eberblight) is power hungry. But honestly as far as "evil make everyone suffer and gleefully twirl mustache" I don't think many circle omnipotents fit into that category. A lot of the casters are jerks, dicks, a-holes, but they are no worse than a Saturday morning cartoon villian (well excluding Kromac who is a monster) Being a jerk doesnt inherently making you evil. Eating and torturing baby souls does however

That post has made me like Mohsar more.
On another note. My knowledge of how evil circle is based on a thread on the old forums that got shut down super hard because the pps_loremaster (Seacat) didn't want to discuss the topics of nonconsentual romance and forced eugenics that would need to be discussed in order to properly answer the question of how do druids reproduce....
Based on that i think circle needs a bump up in the evil scale.
PS: this post is in no way an invitation to start discussing those topics. I almost think i shouldn't have brought it up at all.

Has it ever been proven that arcane magic isn't divine magic? I remember someone suggesting this on the old forum and it caught my attention. "The Deal" give people magic at the same time the elven gods all started dying. The elves already believe that human non-divine casters are the cause. Isn't is possible that 'arcane casters' are really just using divine magic from the elven gods? Its somehow getting leeched/redirected from the gods as part of whatever "The Deal" was?

The Gift isn't the only source of arcane magic in the setting, several non-human races also practice arcane magic.

Also the elves don't really use divine magic ( correct me if I'm wrong) It's just that the elven gods wanted to pamper then so much and thought they were so gosh darn smart and the best children ever so they taught them how to use magic super early.

And then they kill their own gods. And because they were spoiled they never learnt how to accept responsibility for their actions. So they decided to blame the round years.

The death of our gods is complete the fault of the humans. Anyone who looks at the timing between when our gods were destroyed and when the humans began to demonstrate arcane abilities will draw the same logical conclusion.

And it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact you brought gods into the physical realm.
Nope, nothing at all. Suck it up pointy ears, it's self inflicted.
