Yep, it lost bone picker... But it can still clear a huge swath of infantry with 4 spine burst spells and 4 initials.

I thought Snacking removed the target model from play?

I thought Snacking removed the target model from play? Target living model. We can't really go RFP, we don't have access to much RFP other than snacking. Twins might be the answer. Marked for Death deals with incorporeal models.

Ah, damn, that's right, being able to RFP undead was the old (current pre-CID) version. Whelp... So much for that being useful. Not like RFPing undead and/or being able to boost attacks was a meaningful role... -_- Maybe we'll get surprised with some tech that wasn't in the CID version, though.

Marked for Death doesn't help very much. Incorporeal isn't a big feature of Ghost Fleet, it's only on the Blackbanes and the Wraith Engine. The addition of a Naga to your list is more than enough counter tech for Incorporeal. The real issue is RFP which we don't have very much of.

Saeryn has Hellfire (and Banishing Ward to protect against being spelled to death). Can't for the life of me build a good enough list for her in mark 3 though.

saeryn and twins both have banishing ward, which will help deliver it. saeryn will deliver the throne with banishing ward plus feat. the question is whether she is worth bringing.

This is the best list I've been able to come up with for Saeryn1 against Ghost Fleet. The issue is I don't see it as being very good against much else except for Mak2 Thundercats and Zaal2.
Legion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Oracles of Annihilation
!!! Your army contains a CID entry.
(Saeryn 1) Saeryn, Omen of Everblight [+28] - Naga Nightlurker [8] - Scythean [18] - Scythean [18] - Seraph [14] - Zuriel [18] Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)] Spell Martyr [1] The Forsaken [0(4)] The Forsaken [0(4)] Blackfrost Shard [9] Throne of Everblight (CID) [17]

The twins should do well. Banishing ward and occultations are both gold. Being 2 of them makes assassination really tough. You should be able to last to game's end, win or lose. And you have their assassination threat.
Marked for death IS good tech, even if not entirely necessary. Its -2 def as well after all. Having striders, archers or raptors against marked pirates would help.
Hint:occultation and countercharge on both.

Ok, you've convinced me to give it a try. How does this look?
Legion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Oracles of Annihilation
(Saeryn 2 & Rhyas 2) Saeryn & Rhyas, Talons of Everblight [+24] - Carnivean [19] - Naga Nightlurker [8] - Nephilim Protector [10] - Seraph [14] - Zuriel [18] Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)] Spell Martyr [1] The Forsaken [4] Blackfrost Shard [9] Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters (min) [9] - Bayal, Hound of Everblight [0(6)] Spawning Vessel (max) [7]
EDIT: For clarity this is meant to tackle both Ghost Fleet and Cygnar. That's why it's Oracles instead of out of theme - Shadowbind, Hex Bolt and Kiss really help against Cygnar since they mostly play heavy metal against Legion nowadays.
EDIT2:
Legion Army - 75 / 75 points
[Theme] Oracles of Annihilation
!!! Your army contains a CID entry.
(Saeryn 2 & Rhyas 2) Saeryn & Rhyas, Talons of Everblight [+24]
- Carnivean [19]
- Naga Nightlurker [8]
- Seraph [14]
- Zuriel [18]
Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)]
Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion [0(6)]
Spell Martyr [1]
The Forsaken [4]
Blackfrost Shard [9]
Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters (min) [9]
- Bayal, Hound of Everblight [0(6)]
Throne of Everblight (CID) [17]
This version gives up the Pot and Protector to squeeze in the Throne. When it can be protected by Stealth or Banishing Ward as needed it seems like it could have game into a lot of match ups. It can't be debuffed by Parasite or Crippling Grasp by Cryx or be shot by Cygnar unless the opponent has Mage Sight, True Sight or something like that (nor can it be TK'd backwards by Haley2).

Okay, Thagrosh 1 is not the answer I was hoping he was, Spell Martyrs do not like 14" guns that ignore concealment and cover and don't need line of sight to shoot them.
I hate to say it but maybe Saeryn 1 is actually our best option against Ghost Fleet. Zuriel is much harder to remove than Spell Martyrs and with Banishing Ward you can stop Deneghra from debuffing him. The problem is now you have Saeryn 1 in your pairing just for Ghost Fleet and your other list has to handle everything else.

I do recall saying that the Spell martyrs were not going to be a viable idea, but how survivable was the rest of the Thag1 list? or did it even matter since you were getting shot and the Death shroud wasn't relevant? Looking at the rest of the thread i think Saeryn 2 is a solid drop depending on list build. The WESJ combo might work out if you can survive Denny's Feat.

everyone keeps bringing up the twins, and on paper they do look like they have the tools. but jvm played his twins list into banky's ghost fleet in the SOO finals and lost. and it wasn't exactly close. granted there were some dice rolls that didn't go his way, but still. i think it will be a challenge to play into no matter what tech we try to bring.

JVM's list took Wrongeye & Snapjaw. I wonder if a Throne might make the difference?

I don't know JVM's list but doubt it was built with Ghost Fleet in mind if it was out of theme with WE+SJ.
