... To me, I have 5 active Storm Lances and 5 unpainted lances but, if it comes to the reality I can't use remaining four.... ... I think that means you now have 3 full units of Storm Lances, plus a spare in case somebody breaks.

But is there any meaning since their supposed FA is capped at 2 and all I can field is two units - six Lances?

Warcaster doesn’t have command cards, though? Vehicles have maneuvers, and the spell rack is what it is, so I’m not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the secondary mission objectives? I meant Cyphers. I dunno, I don't play 40K, but they introduced some sort of command point and command ability system in the previous edition I believe. Like Cyphers, they are effects you can apply to models on the table that don't originate from anything ON the table.

Also FA is same as before, according to the demo rule. FA 2 means you can have up to two sets of them, nothing more, unless you have two or more commanders but is multi-caster format become the standard?

Saw a bunch of comments about loss of free strikes and penalties for disengaging. In the beta rules, there is a new icon for an ability for ignoring the "loses initial combat action" My guess is this will be for bigger models to prevent small based grunts neutering high point cost models.
I like the "model facing" in the game and will be sad to see it go. PP mentioned they want to eliminate alot of the fiddly measurements in the game. I kind of liked how tight the game was and enjoyed tight positioning. My personal feeling, but this seems like a mistake to me.
Overall I think PP needed to do something to breath some life into the game. I'm sure I'll miss a lot of my old stuff, but I really like the idea of modular jacks and beasts. I've always missed the conversions that were prevalent in GW games and I think this will help.
Per the point costs, it looks like PP is really pushing the "big stompy robots/beasts" idea. I know they've said this before, but this time feels a bit more real due to the low jack costs they've been previewing and the reduction in unit sizes.
Overall, staying positive. I have faith that PP will figure it out. I liked Mk II & III. I'm sure I'll like Mk.IV

I do feel like customizeable models adds "fiddlyness" in a different way (one of the things I appreciated when I discovered MkII was that a model/unit was that model/unit; no need to read what weapons etc. they had, it was all fixed, clean and consistent). But I guess digital tools help a lot with that side of game, and of course customizing stuff is fun - and makes sense in the case of military weapon platforms.

I don't think anyone posted the new Khador previews: home.privateerpress.com/2022/08/01/khador-winter-korps-lore-kapitan-ekaterina-baranova-dire-wolf-and-great-bear/Interesting stuff. Field Marshal [Arc Node] is kinda crazy considering the previous Khador "tenets". Also RAT 5 and a "lighter faster" warjack (how light and fast remains to be seen) supports the idea that the old rules no longer apply. E-Katrina's model looks good, looks like 2 melee attacks (and possibly even multiple ranged attacks if those are multiple barrels on her pistol), and I kinda like her extra focus rule. Her fluff suggests that she doesn't like Greylords though, so I wonder how hard it will be to support her by having other models kill enemies with arcane attacks? Well, I must admit the new stuff looks attractive to me.

Yeah, definitely waiting for Khador box here. Maybe like a single model (fat warjack) in Cygnar box, Orgoth... sweet Menoth, I miss Cryx so much. I'd say Dusk intrigues me, but it is sculpted entirely by Hamilton, so hard pass, unless a leopard can actually change it's spots.

I noticed Ol' Grim was listed in the Cryx previews. Do we think we'll still have dual-faction models, and he'll still be available in Khador? Because I just finished painting him and I'll be fairly sad if he's not one of ours anymore.

Being at GenCon, I purchased a Cygnar box (just to check out the model quality on my own terms) and, naturally, purchased a Khador box online immediately afterward. Apparently the battlegroups are selling very well.
