You can lead a horse to water...but you can't make it realise good models I don't get how that's fair. I try to be respectful and you just keep insulting me. There is no agree to disagree huh? One person just HAS to be an idiot.

I do not find that to be respectful

I ehed at the freaking model not at you as a person. But fine whatever, Best Model, anybody who dislikes it is a moron.

I think the problem isn't that it is bad, just that it is uninteresting. I think this means that it is unlikely to be changed during CID but I guess that doesn't mean we can't hope it gets something to make it more compelling from a gameplay perspective.

I'm curious as to how people use it if they find it ineffective.
I've used it to keep heavies and sometimes whole flanks shut down by miring them in rough terrain and blocking models behind others.
Maybe you want it to be a more aggressive model than its designed to be which is a really more of a control model that sits in zones and keeps others out of them.

Someone understands what not being a buttmunch is. Seriously guys, I'd rather not have to close another thread from this CID cycle, keep it civil or go yell at a wall.

I'm curious as to how people use it if they find it ineffective. I find it undefined in its role. Difficult terrain is a gamble: if your opponent has nothing against it you win. If you do, ots nothing. It does allot of stuff, and the core of those at the moment being extreme survivability and speed. But its very middling in many ways. I wish it had a harder defined role or melee or ranged, and just did them better.

Something magical about this game and life is there is opinions and different things may work for different people some people think it's not great, that's fine, people think it's great that's also fine, some people just wanna use the model as an expensive paper weight because it's a sweet model, that's fine if they want (or they could just buy me a second one I just never understood the point of bickering between models you will never see a same result anywhere, heck I still love to pull out sorscha 2 sometimes or go to tourneys with random lists and they work because everyone plays differently.

The Gun Carriage is Khadors only piece of accurate long range ordinance.
Nothing else in faction can shoot like it can, except perhaps the colossals which cost twice as much.

The Gun Carriage is Khadors only piece of accurate long range ordinance. Accurate in what sense? That it Knocks things down in melee? Otherwise Khador is overflowing with Long Range ordinances. Many of which are more accurate then the Gun Carriage.

Welshy, now you know Rowdy and I don't see eye to eye on the GC, but I'm not sure I can agree with you. You've got two 23" range threats with POW 16 unboostable AOEs. OK, that doesn't suck, I'll give you that. But it's not a specialist here at 18 points. So, for the same 18 points, if what I'm really going for is ranged threat, let's see what I can do... Min WGRC with 3 rockets and Joe. So the rocketeers are RAT 7 (vs 5), threat 20", but I get 3 of them with boosted POW 12s. (I've also got the rifles...so just for funsies lets do a CRA and get a 20" POW 16 with RAT 13...I think I did that math right). Or I can take a destroyer for 14 points and get an 18" threat. OK, that's a give vs. the 23". I may be totally boxing my own argument here. Buuuuut...I ignore LOS and can boost both the hit and damage. And I can get battlegroup buffs. And with either of those I can get in a 4 point ranged solo (WMM), or Field Gun. Or pay 1 more point and take the Mortar crew. Sure you're trading RAT 5 (which might hit) with no RAT at all (ok...RAT 1, or RAT 3 aiming which you're probably doing, or RAT 5 with Joe), but I think in both instances you're mostly playing for blast damage and High Explosive is actually pretty good. I think if they add Ammo Types to the GC and give it High Explosive gun carraige I'm calling it done and done. That's just me.

Got a game with it, was quite surprised.
I think people severely underestimate how much work it accomplishes on charge turn. You get 1 boosted pow 14, 1 unboosted pow 14 tresher, all knockdowns/slam with possible collaterals, 2x pow 16 and a rifle. That's basically an output of powered up Kodiak. That's what I think of it now, a Kodiak with guns that you can't alocate to.
Oh and survivability is great. A lot of things that kill 34 boxes suddenly stop killing 38, like a charging Juggy with Fury or Stormwall.
I think one carriage is a must in wg theme. It's better than any jack you can take in regards to shooting, scores as one, contributes to bonus points, equals one in melee and surpasses one in survivability. Between field guns and a carriage you actually get to control your opponent models and get a lot of rat fixing for rockets. And I don't think idea of 2 carriages is that bad, it's a choice between second carriage or more wg.
Out of theme I don't know. What lists are even there out of theme? Vlad 2 and B3? Vlad 2 can use it, for example if you don't play Conquest or Behemoth so you could rotate hof between WGRC and carriage, he wouldn't be very excited about it though. B3 can use it as a movable piece of terrain but again, isn't very excited about it, the dwarf merc one is better for B3 probably. The Z2 lists I saw played already used it.

So the way I see it is: The battle engine currently works with a small number of casters in wg theme. Adding more boxes to it doesn't change what lists it goes in because it still does the same stuff it always did and still has the same problems it always had and still only works with that small selection of casters.
