how about Menoth, can they pair their awesome Infantry lists with an effective Jack list that's over the power curve? *cough Amon f'ing Ad Raza *cough cough
I think the argument being made is based a little too much on perspective. Outside looking in sort of thing.
But I won't deny that Cryx can be the determining factor in whether or not any list is "viable" in a major tournament.
I do Not believe BI is the "best" jack list in the game. I do not believe Cryx infantry alone is the "best" infantry in the game.
They are good. They need some specific/uncommon tools to tear apart. But the need for the tool far outweighs the "just how good the models are".

The allowable strength of a skew is inversely proportional to the strength of the (non-skew, or alternative skew) pairing options. If Cryx can run various (strong) forms of infantry skew (and they can, in 5/6 themes) they probably can't be allowed to pair those themes with a strong jack skew which can hard counter many of the answers to said infantry skews (traditionally, shooting and other infantry-hate tools). It creates a list chicken which is oppressive in a way which goes beyond the simple winrate of BI. It's the reason why BI draws the most hate, even though Skarre1 Dark Host or Skarre3 Slaughter Fleet are probably stronger lists. At least those lists play the same type of game as the rest of Cryx, such that it's possible to build answers to them into a single list. The same cannot be said of BI/Gaspy 9 Slayers. It's a balancing aspect that does not come up nearly enough. and thank firetruck it doesn't. I can think of very little worse for a game than a company trying to micromanage the meta to this degree. That really is a guaranteed way to get every community trying to whine their way to a win.

Not even Amon— double Judicator builds spent the WTC trucking over people.i think PoM does jacks very well

I'm being irresponsibly hyperbolic Although I'm not afraid of Amon locking me out of scenario, or punishing me for moving out of my deployment zone.

Amon is basically the “fair” portion of gaspy 3. Gaspys power doesn’t hinge only on his jacks doing stuff but also how well you manage his spell assassination. Vs Amon you handle/control/manipulate his jacks and he is done he doesn’t do anything else. Also Amon is the only caster that hasn’t realized that bullets hurt and that he should be wearing a shirt. He is far easier to assassinate than g3, opening up another avenue of attack. G3 in a bubble isn’t scary. It is how g3 and infantry interact as a pair. It creates list chicken situations that emphasize the gear check aspects of the game that many people loathe.
