Not really interested. I like the physical aspect of the game: picking up models, throwing dice, being in the same room as other human beings. Ew humans. Could always move...... To the USA or something.

To the USA or something. I suggest Canada, friendlier colder cousin to the US, with a free healthcare. Ok me being a canadian has absolutely nothing to do with prefering Canada to the USA There is also a pretty big meta in Ontario and Québec, not sure about the rest of the country.

Eh stick to America. Canada is as friendly as a used car salesman, and there is no such thing as free, the laws of energy conservation just don't work that way.
Getting outside of my unnatural and unfair hatred towards Canada every country has its own tradeoffs and benefits. Depends on what you want.

I'm starting to think this thread may have slipped off topic a little...
So let's get back to the Forge Seer. Other than Behemoth or a Destroyer, do any jacks stand out as having potential to marshal with him? The Decimator perhaps?

Any range jack can work. The decimator is not too bad, and even something like a maurader can be handy, since it doesn't need a lot of focus to go buck wild!
I think a kodiak would be alright too, if you're looking to use it for it's power attacks. I think being able to control scenario a little with one is nice.

I would be worried about my Jack Marshall being too far forward.

The Forge Seer is decently tough. And empower is range 7 on him, so you can be back a little.

I wouldn't consider a melee Jack in a faction without cheap empower, like Retribution. Only because we can't crush and charge easily.
The obvious answer is the spriggan.
Blessed pow10 blasts are op yo!

I'm necroing probably, but i just have to mention berzerkers with forge seers, under Zerkova2 (I like her). Use crush and pay for your charges with the focus from empower for three pow 18 attacks plus a headbutt.
Use the occult whispers and have a ternion ice cage your target. If you make it stationary, you could just slam it away. Being knockdown and stationary will drain your opponent's resources from their heavies.
Again, not optimally, probably, but it is funny, and wierdly viable in a janky, jury-rigged kind of way.

At that point wouldn't it be simply better (and not that much more expansive) to just take a maraudeur instead?

Did Berserkers get their chain attack back then? Because they traded it for the Berserk rule at the start of MkIII.

I think the blasts are pow 5 base What? No! That's crazy! Can you imaging POW 3 blast damage? No, the grenades are POW 10 base with POW 5 blast damage.
