Has anyone tried to convince Krieg to move here too? I'm not much of a reddit fan, so I'll probably be settling here. As far as why conquest and behemoth in the same list, I like the redundancy of having two shooting that are good overrun trigger, and the ability to have two models to trigger overrun at range, allowing more movement shenanigans. I also like the redundancy in hitting power. Juggy hit hard but they do have their limits, a fully loaded juggy or maraudeur will still struggle against an armor buffed heavy or colossal without a damage buff and Strakhov doesn't offer any damage buff. Behemoth or Connie should be able to deal with that. I like the idea of widowmakers to clear lanes, but I think conquest can do the same job, the four high explosive secondary gun shots can deal with a lot of infantry. I also like the denial the creeping barrage provide. My main issue with Torch in mk3 is its hitting power, paying 18 points for a pow 17 jack seems... expansive. I know sprint is good, but if you send it against a heavy it might not kill it an trigger sprint. And yeah I won't be dropping the grolar in my Strakhov list anytime soon, it has performed too well on too many occasion for me not to field him in the list. I do like your list, at this point I think it comes down to personal preferences, the two list are different variations of the same basic principles, lots of jacks to get the most out of overrun with some shooting to clear charge lanes. Don't know. I think he has his mind set on keeping the reddit group alive. He is active on the german forum though. Yeah I struggle with Torches hitting Power everytime. But I want to like him so bad. Maybe with the Theme and less shooting its a good choice not to take him. Will try how it plays without him. The Groaler is really a special case for me. Like Beast and Ruin he is good at Assasinating, but he lacks 1" Range. On the other hand, as long as the enemy Warnoun is able to be knock down he will likely kill it. Friends try to convince me of running Beast, as he kills Casters the most reliable, but maybe the Groaler is a good alternative for that. I like the basic idea of conquest and Behemoth because it kills armor like no ones buisness, which in term makes Strakov1 better against so much. Problem is they are just so crazy expensive and one thing Strakov always lacked was Attrition. Another theme list I was conemplating ist this one: conflictchamber.com/#b31b_-0x7c7wdZ0dhFhF8n8n8r8y8A8B8G8GKhador Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] Jaws of the Wolf !!! Your army contains pre-release entries. !!! You are using a pre-release theme. (Strakhov 1) Kommander Oleg Strakhov [+28] - Behemoth [25] - Grolar [18] - Juggernaut [12] Greylord Forge Seer [0] Greylord Forge Seer [0] Manhunter [4] Manhunter [4] Widowmaker Marksman [4] Yuri the Axe [6] Kayazy Assassins (max) [15] - Kayazy Assassin Underboss [4] Kayazy Eliminators [5] Kayazy Eliminators [5] Diffrent way. Way more infantry, but so much stealth. I think this list is all about clearing the way and having so many angles for assination. Its the second Strakov1 List I wanna test. Third would be out of theme entirely, but that one I have to tinker with. I now talking about the Groaler is futile with you (because its your best bud), but I really like torch now. Just because you can Overrun him forward and back again. I'm sure you meant that he would Overrun forwards and Sprint backwards, but just to make sure that any newer players don't misunderstand and play it wrong: a model can only make an Overrun move once per turn. Nope...Nope...I just Firetrucked up...thought I could Overrun twice. Never came up before Thx for catching my mistake.

Well if you plan to run some lists in jaws of the wolf it's a free (point wise) empower bot, and the unit selection in jaws of the wolf is not terrible either, the other theme bonus go from bad to situational, but free points are free points. I'll probably be getting two, hopefully I can place well enough in my next lgs tournament tomorrow to get some store credits to buy one or two.
I'll be getting my forge seer and hope we can get them fixed during the MoW CID that we know is coming, from what we're seeing of the grymkin CID PP is really listening to the feedback and they do try to make all the models appealing, just look at the last iteration of the Old Witch, she looks even more of a blast to play than before her gun was nerfed thanks to the new awesome arcane machineries.

skathrexThe kayazy heavy list is worth a try, not so sure about Yuri the axe since he's way overpriced for what he does, but you do get 8 free points in the list, so that kinda more than pays for him. As for Beast09, I've tried him with Strakhov and he doesn't do it for me compare to the grolar, no pathfinder outside the feat turn is a big turn off for me, that and he has a big neon sign on his head saying kill me I'm worth a bazillion points. In the games I've tried with him he just ended up doing the same job as a juggernaut but for way too many points. Also if you use him you need to be out of tier and I'm not really convinced it's worth it to run Strakhov out of tier when he can perform admirably well in Winterguard Kommand and seems interesting in Jaws of the wolf (more testing is required with this one).

I think a Greylord Theme with Cold Immune warjacks is inevitable, but even regardless of that, it's more the Jack Marshalling rules that need help. I would like that rule to mean something sometime this edition.
But yeah CID is looking amazing. If Cid continues as it does, we can prepare for one of the best Spellsingers in Khador...Ever.
Edit:
Also Reposition with Mechanics is not Garbage! Its pretty sweet! I wish I had it MANY times.

The Idea of the Kayazy list is basically having to many angles for the enemy Warnoun to cover. Manhunter and Yury threw woods, Eliminators from the Flanks and Jacks from the center all threataning 14 or more inches. Thats a scary place to be for many Warcasters. Also good against shooty lists that can't handle that much stealth. Yeah it gets harder and harder to justify a non-Theme list. Only reason would be Eyriss+Kell atm. Or if you wanted to mix. Problem is the Solo-bloat that SK1 suffers from. conflictchamber.com/#b31b7c7w0deQ3WdH7m7y8r8eaFKhador Army - 75 / 75 points (Strakhov 1) Kommander Oleg Strakhov [+28] - Behemoth [25] - Juggernaut [12] - Ruin [17] Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios [7] Gobber Tinker [2] Kell Bailoch [5] Orin Midwinter, Rogue Inquisitor [5] Widowmaker Marksman [4] Widowmaker Scouts [8] Winter Guard Gun Carriage [18] This goes in that direction, maybe exchange the Gun Carriage (but I wanna test it as a sentry target)

I'm really not sure about the gun carriage as a sentry target when you don't have a pathfinder jack in your jack lineup. I know it's getting old, but a grolar would work wonder with the gun carriage

Yuri is cool, he can murder a unit by himself and Strakhov's feat delivers him well. I really wish they allowed to take him for free, 6 points is an awkward slot that's almost never available.
