If the initial theme spoilers still hold true, they'll even use protectorate troops despite the fact they're also effectively invaders at this point... It could be that delusional desperation.

But maybe the resistance knows the protectorate aren't good allies, but will use their troops anyway out of pragmatism.

Maybe. But maybe they the protectorate aren't good allies, but will use their troops anyway out of pragmatism. No I mean the Protectorate is just as happy as to turn all of Lael into little Protectorate. A land of blind loyalty and dire punishment. Pretty much the same as Khador.

I think I missed a few words in my post. I fixed it, though. POM is not a great ally. But beggars can't be choosers.

POM is not a great ally. But beggars can't be choosers. Beggars could also eat arsenic. Doesn't make it a good move. Point being I could see it happening, but that would be trouble for Layel, and in all likelyhood bad.

Really no one wants to return Lael to itself. Khador wants to conquer it. Protectorate wants to force it into the fold and incorporate it. Cygnar staked its claim to control new territory by "saving" it or at least puppet state by marrying the heir to Lael's throne. They have to look out themselves, nobody else will.

Khador's hold over Llael becomes stronger each day.

Now that I've seen the videos I'm even more concerned about the huge amount of models that are going to be released. Like my wallet can't handle all that

That is pretty much the position of Ashlyn in the new book too. She says at a certain point: "We will not tollerate invaders in blue more than how we tollerate invaders in red."

Ooh. I like that. The Resistance has grown bitter as allies have abandoned it. Their chances of victory are basically fantasy now. They need to adopt crueler means of warfare to have a shot at beating Khador. So, Gastone is using some sort of necromancy. That's cool. Oh far worse actually. Its main allies turn out to be pillagers as well. They were initially thankful for the retribution, but now realize that it's ALSO just there to take whatever it wants. Actually, there is a new faction coming exactly for that reason... "They drove us from our homes. They raptured over our wealth. They think their armor impenetrables, they think their weapons unstoppable, they think they stole our secrets.... Soon, they will discover the error of their belifs!"

Kinda I feel like this would probably end poorly for the crucible. The AKs are pretty much immune to whatever they can dish out.

Kinda I feel like this would probably end poorly for the crucible. The AKs are pretty much immune to whatever they can dish out. Well, they don't just bring gas bombs (that also mean smokewall), but they were the ones that invented blast powder... I expect superior guns and explosives from them... "They think their armors are impenetrable..."

"They think their armors are impenetrables..." Unless they have some sort of double armor-piercing, in such a way to invalidate a MOW armor I see them pretty boned. Khador already deals with Cygnar on a constant basis. Also Khador has some of the only models that can pierce through smokewalls (Spirggains)
