Recent Grolar battle report: Gaspy has is sitting back with his toe just past the edge of the kill box. My Grolar is hanging out in a forest contesting the edge of a rectangular zone. Gaspy of course has parasite out so he's Arm 17. I knock Gaspy over, Grolar charges a convenient model (but trample would have worked just as well) and puts 3 shots into his face boosting damage on the first two. Dead Gaspy. No other jack could have achieved this. Even Behemoth would have had some trouble due to him camping two focus. Thanks for the battle report. Also, congrats on the win!

Anyone have a summary of how they all ended up?

Speaking of hard things, I got my first iron fang unit almost entirely assembled yesterday. Just have to magnetize the shields.

Started working on my Iron Fangs. Not sure when I'll paint them, but I at least want them assembled. I decided to magnetize the shields and banners. Here's some photos of how I did it in case it helps someone. I'm using the standard bearer as an example. All the others will have their shields done in the exact same ways. For the shields I drilled out a 1/8" hole and inserted a 1/8" wide by 1/8" think magnet. I think on the other shields I'll only use a 1/16" think magnet. It should be more than strong enough. On the backs of the standards I glued in a piece of paperclip. I clipped off the top of the standard pole with some flush cutters. Using regular cutters and filing it flat would work also. Then I glued on the magnet. I tried it with both the face down and face up like you see below. I liked face up more because it gave more surface for the standard to stick to, meaning it holds better. The standard doesn't also doesn't wiggle side to side as much. For the second standard I have I think I'll file it so it's a little concave at the top of the pole. On the shield are I bought a sheet of steel from the hobby/crafts section of my local hardware store. I cut off a little piece with metal shears and glued it to the arm Here's what it looks like put together. The shield hides the standard bearers face, but that seems to be how it was designed to look based on the way the parts fit. And here you can see how tight the fit is on the parts. All in all I think it came out pretty good.

Important PSA for all Khador players.
Iron Fang capes go on BEFORE the shoulder pads.

So why all the love for Strakhov specifically? Superiority is great, but he's not the only caster with it. Not to mention Redline, Full Throttle, and Infernal Machine are fairly comparable. Is it just the extra threat extension from his feat?

Ah, I what you're saying. Really build the assassination into the plan, and use the gun to eat any of the early transfers or power field. Thanks for the help y'all.

Both those spells are great, but neither help it shoot. So I come back to wonder if for fewer points it'd be better to have a Kodiak or Juggernaut.

Great feedback guys. Thanks. I was thinking about starting with what's in the army box to test him out. Add a few things to get to 75 points. I'm not sure the Irusks are really all that great of casters for it though. It does seem a Juggernaut or Kodiak would be a better choice under either Irusk.

So I just got the new army box in the mail. So I now have my first Grolar kit. I'm of course going to magnetize it, but I'm wondering how people are using it and in what lists. It's a great jack, but at almost the price of two marauders it's a pretty big point investment.

So I ended up playing my Cygnar roomie last night. He brought Nemo3 with. Squire, lancer, Dynamo, 2 fireflys, Jr with a firefly, the Dragoon, a min unit of Storm Lance's, and a full unit of Lances.
It did not go well. He kept rolling 6 on lighting generator and I just didn't have enough attacks at a high enough damage to deal with that many high arm targets. Especially once they got into melee.

Yassssss. That settles it, restarting my Khador army with Kozlov at the helm. Kozlov, either Irusk,or Butcher1. So hard to choose.

My khador army box arrived. I can confirm the iron fangs are regular iron fangs boxes with both units inside. The jacks are all full kits. My box also had a copy of high command rapid engagement inside. Not sure what's up with that, but I didn't have a copy so I'm not complaining.
