So I was curious now that the battle engine CID cycle is ending if any one knew when the official errata will hit so that the new rules can be tourney legal?

I seem to remember hearing that the Battle Engine stuff would come out around Lock & Load which is mid July if I remember right.

I'm hoping earlier, but mid July is what I hear too.

Anyone have a summary of how they all ended up? Dunno. Internal testing might change them from the last week of CID.

Anyone have a summary of how they all ended up? Dunno. Internal testing might change them from the last week of CID. Yeah the last week of CID is not their final form though as a whole they had two goals: make them much more survivable mostly just more boxes though a few gained defensive abilities and make them more of focal pieces for your army most all of them that didn't already have an AOE buff gained on of some sort like meat thresher granting concealment and other stuff like that. As a whole they look much more important something can be strong and unimportant or weak and important but either way they are designed to be focal points of your army.

Except for the Cavalry based ones. Nice shocktroopers. Focal points? Not at all.

I meant how they ended up at the end of the CID.

I meant how they ended up at the end of the CID. Depends who you ask. I personally felt that they were all in a good place but a lot of people kept claiming their engines were "just shy of perfect" and suggested adding certain rules. The cynic in me wants to say that this was people fishing for unrequired buffs. For example in the last week the Arcantric Force Generator had Polarity Field (so no charging it), got +4 ARM against ranged and lost Dual Shot and got flat RoF2 and its shots have 16" Rng if you sit still. Yet people were STILL complaining that it wasn't survivable enough and that it had trouble clearing uthings engaging it and were suggesting giving it Mirage. Engaging it basically means running something into the enemies deployment zone but apparently melee shouldn't be a weakness of a gun platform. The Throne of Everblight was similar with people wanting MAT 7 to be changed to MAT 6 Murderous for no real reason. I won't go over the trials and tribulations of the Gun Carriage. That was a whole thing. But if you wanted battle engines to be a decent option with certain casters theb it succeeded. If you wanted them to be unkillable auto-includes you were probably dissapointed.

I was more asking if someone could summarize the changes to each as of the end of the CID.

I was more asking if someone could summarize the changes to each as of the end of the CID. That would take a long time and a lot of typing, so probably not. Some were rebuilt from the ground up and had entirely new rules invented for them.
