Look up Trollock's Trolls(pg. 3) and Arizona Troll(pg. 2) on the Privateer Press painting forum. Both of these guys paint green trolls, but the reason I think it will help you to study their stuff is because they use a limited palette and still have stunningly beautiful models. Trollock uses a more limited palette and Arizona Troll uses fairly complex mixes of paint that involves mixing a little of all of the dominant colors in the different colors. Don't misunderstand me, I like the strong colors you've used, it's just too easy for the color scheme to look like a bag of skittles with a bunch of dominant colors all vying for the observer's attention.

Your blue, yellow, rucksack tan are very rich colors that work well with each other. The mint green of the armor seems washed out compared to the stronger colors. It reminds me of my ogrun bokur. I painted his armor with a nice rich brown but it ended up looking like he is wearing leather armor. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to fix him.

I just watched Megamind with my daughter. It was better than I thought it would be.

It sounds interesting but I really can't say much because I haven't seen the minis or photos of them.

I very much like your models. But that Efaarit scout is amazing!

Nice tutorial. I really liked the simplicity of priming the horses and riders differently. It gives them a subtle difference in the pics.

I wasn't even taking that into account, it's another nail in the salt wagon's coffin. I actually really liked the MKIII salt wagon. It was fast, fragile and able to address situations all across the board from a distance. I thought of it as kind of a weak sister of Behemoth.

But that's what the jacks are for. They hit hard, can be boosted, are durable, and don't block as much line of sight as a salt wagon. Jacks are not as fast, but that should give you an extra turn without the firing into melee penalty.

So Wireless Wizard was banned from CID for the thread about the gun carriage? I thought it was a substantive post. They want feedback but no pushback when they completely change a models rules? It disappoints me because I've been saving up for a while to buy one, and it's a damned expensive model. $85 retail is a fairly large investment in something that won't be used on a regular basis and with the direction PP is trying to take it, I doubt I would ever use it. I don't understand it's new role. When it was a fast skirmisher, it made sense to me. But now they want to use it as a line breacher? I think they've got their Battle Engine roles mixed up. Shooty Winter Guard with a fast Battle Engine harassing the flanks seems to be an effective strategy. Man-O-Wars on the other hand are most effective up close and personal so having an assault vehicle go in first to delay the enemy until the MOW's can catch up makes sense to me. Of course I'm just a theorist, I don't get to play. So take my observations with appropriate salt.

It seemed to me that PPS_Soles last comment was the equivalent of "Git gud ". Not really what I expected in the CID.
