Wrestling and tennis would be good examples as well.
I was the one that started the CID stuff and I still think it’s a good part of it because the people I was referring to are very competitive but it’s too much of a time investment and too confusing because model rules are constantly changing. How many CID’s are there in a year: 6, 8, or 10? That’s a lot of changes to learn in a year. Most companies will have maybe two updates a year so that the player base can puzzle through the ramifications and new synergies. There was a mention earlier of something I’d forgotten about, the last edition of card boxes. I bought 3 and was saving up for a couple more. My flgs ordered around 30 mostly for players but at least one for each faction. Two or three months after this, they all become invalidated. It still makes my blood boil to think about it! There should have been somebody at PP that looked at the business plans and said this was a terrible idea.

It died here at the beginning of MKIII as well. From talking to the former players one of main problems that was brought up is the game is all about memory and being able to remember: the rules, the model stats, the special rules, and the interaction between the aforementioned items. MKIII changed so much that most of the guys didn’t want to dive back into the hardcore memorization needed to be competitive on a decent level when they could learn pretty much the entire game of Guild Bowl in a couple of days. And Guild Bowl was the new shiny here since the mini guy at the gaming store was fascinated with it and was pushing it pretty hard. Myself and a couple other guys tried to reinvigorate the WMH scene and then CID started. That was the final nail in the coffin. Now the rules are in a constant state of flux and nobody around here wants to invest the effort in to learning and remembering week 1, week 2, week 3, and then possibly another change with the final card. And it’s not just that the only models affected are in CID. There have been a few universal rules that have changed and modified cards of of models not even in the CID cycle.

What do you call a dog with no legs?
Doesn’t matter he won’t come anyway.
What do with a dog with no legs?
Take him out for a drag.

salmon.pt/en/simple-green-industrial-cleaning-products/They might be able to help. Go with the original version, that’s what we use in the States. I have no idea how much it will cost, but I’ve got a couple of small glass jars full of simple green that have been reused so many times that they are now a murky brown like swamp water.

This thread makes laugh every time I read it. It has turned into the general discussion forum’s equivalent of Khador’s Creepy Card Player thread.

I’m proud of you, Michael. That’s quite an undertaking that most hobbiests wouldn’t mess with especially for free. I hope it works out well for both of you! 😉

Cool, I was afraid that I was doing a poor job of describing the technique.

I would actually try using the back of the blade to scrape the material away instead of cutting it. Cutting could produce too fine a cut that will fill up with paint. I’m not describing it well, it’s like cutting with the back of the blade so that it removes a little bit of material instead of slicing it and leaving all of the material there.

It will be really cool if you can figure out how to incorporate your led lighting into clear and translucent resin! The hammer is really cool but I can’t really tell scale. Would it be possible/feasible to cut the line breaks in the knot work with an Xacto blade?

Am I the only one that thinks that the frustrated locus solo for CoC looks like something out of a lady’s naughty drawer?
