Death shroud has been on Thags1 since MK1? I actually think he was the first model to ever have it?!?! Sorry, I was sleepy I meant Dark Shroud I somehow read it as if Throne would be able to give our models/units Dark Shroud. Trivia time: Death Shroud existed in MK1 on Thags, but as a spell (I've just checked in my Primal book to redeem myself ). Same, I actually mean to type Dark Shroud. (It seems PP trips over itself a lot with name collisions ). Anyways I was thinking if it could give itself the dark shroud aura via magical action. I think that would be alright and make it pretty useful, but not auto-include.

I would exchange triple Scytheans for double Carniveans, Naga and Bloodseer. Naga is great with Vayl2, under Feat she can cast Wraithbane for free and that can help spell assassination great deal. With that much spell slinging Bloodseer is IMHO worthy addition, also with Carnivean he is very hard to remove for 8 points. Why Carniveans? Spiny Growth is big deal, but sprays are even greater when needing to seal the deal (no Shieldguard).

I find it hard not to include at least one scythean with her it's possible 14" Melee threat and possible 4 dice to hit makes him such a beast. Opponent also feels the need to keep heavies a little more spread out to prevent the six inch thresher from hurting multiples.....the naga and Bloodseer are excellent considerations. The ravagore is tempting as well as it can sit back and shoot through the huge bases with arcing fire.

Unless I am mistaken, Wraithbane only gives Magic Weapon and Blessed to a model's weapons, not their spells or other abilities. So Vayl2 would get Blessed on her Oraculi but not any of the spells she slings, to my understanding of how WB works.

A free Wraith bane - and a beast that can shoot for Crit Shadowbind is great value for 8 points though with Vayl I think.

I am a huge fan of Naga Nightlurkers in general (I think the last time I made a list that didn't have one was probably Mk2) but just wanted to note that WB did not effect spells. I think the Naga is great with Vayl2, because it's great everywhere and can really help her warbeasts overcome ARM buffs. It just doesn't effect her spell assassination.

I look at the CID throne as a giant hellmouth, in that it creates favorable, controllable threat ranges that our opponent doesnt want to walk into that we can plan around. At worst, our opponent trades some buffed up cheap heavy for the throne and we kill it next turn. Best case scenario, a buffed throne takes 2-3 heavies to kill and now we have some stationary targets in our threats. It's very expensive, but the fact that it can kill so much more than a hellmouth is nice.
