I mean its certainly more of a hard counter than tharn ravagers You know what is sad though? Just play old witch 2 and gunline match ups are mostly solved. Which is concerning Until they use a caster with snipe at which point the 13 inch range still outthreats the reavers

Don't get me wrong Old Witch2 is great and does help solve guns but she doesn't stop them dead. If she has her front line of troops 6" in front of her you just to have 11" guns to shoot them off the board.

Until they use a caster with snipe at which point the 13 inch range still outthreats the reavers Isn't her control 16 with vexing alignment? range 14 guns are not exactly commonplace. Trollkin, Cygnar, Ret, mercs, khador, skorne (via minifeat) Legion and protectorate all have a 10 strong range 14+ ranged gun unit. Trollkin, cygnar, ret, and legion all have access to snipe as an upkeep as well. Skorne can minifeat to 16, Crucible guard has 12 + snipe as well as rocketmen. So they're pretty commonplace, just not common in the current meta, which can shift. Lets also consider how close to the front lines your OW 2 is actually playing as well. Is she going to be right up there next to the advanced deploying, running every turn doomreavers because the way I see it, she's going to cross the midpoint just a bit with windstorm, and catch exactly none of the firing models in her spell bottom of 1 top of 2.

Not Legion. No 14” infantry (caps at 12”) and no Snipe. Its confusing but the caster with Snipe in war room is the “fakey fake for funsie” caster they handed out a few months ago, not that I think OW2 with doom reavers is a particularly effective Legion drop regardless.

either way RNG 14 guns are only uncommon right now because of the meta shift. If it shifts to wm spam youll see them come back with a vengeance.

Yeah, it would be nice if gunlines, battlegroup heavy armies, melee troops, AND heavy infantry were all viable. I feel like that's coming.

Actually, what I meant to say was "it would be nice if reaver spam was viable and everyone but me only played battle-group heavy armies with no infantry clearing"

Out of curiosity who are you referencing in trolls? Budhwackers? Because honestly when was the last time you say those lol A few years back actually. Its almost like you're incapable of wrapping your head around the fact that metas change and models you didnt see for awhile suddenly become useable or good again.

I tried the week 3 changes into double fire eaters and a unit of scattergunners. Sprays hurt the list, a lot! I think there are something like three spells and three feats in Khador that can help reavers survive sprays.
Cheers, Dave
