Got to the 26 minute mark, what a bunch of Moronic Whingers! There are a few grains of truth admittedly in what they are saying (The needless restriction of 'non-character mercs' in a couple of themes), but it mostly just sounds like a bunch of mediocre players bemoaning the fact they cannot herp-de-derp roflstomp everyone with Karchev Mad Dogs anymore. Jeez dude, no need to start slinging personal insults just because you don't agree with someone!

Just saying you don't agree with them would have been enough.

I don't think they are ill-informed I just think they are frustrated. Maybe this is because I have independently felt very similar for a while now, but to me it sounded like people who liked the faction and want it to be good but are consistently frustrated by some particular issues. I don't think they are the only people feeling this way either. They have already agreed that the cast was more negative than they'd intended but I think we've all started to vent about something and had it snowball. I think there are quite a lot of things I agree with in the cast but I could see how the presentation might be offputting for someone really feeling positive about the faction.

I think the point of this podcast is that you in fact can "herp-de-derp roflstomp everyone", but not in Khador. And if you take Khador it will be you who will get roflstomped by those people.

and it wouldn't take much to help khador IMO as far as I can see the models are good (barring one or two, cough-black ivan-cough) and lifting character merc units and some jacks restrictions (behemoth) would do wonders.

Oh, I agree entirely. Legion of Steel: Lift the restriction and you're fine WGK: Fine as it is, but should also have the restriction lifted. Also, put the AKs in Legion and make them count for free points. Jaws of the Wolf: Give it some actual theme benefits! It wouldn't take much; 'Jacks get advance move for each unit' instead of the mechanics one would be great. As for the second benefit, I love the theme of our scouts stopping theirs, but stopping Ambush is weak and stopping AD was too much, so they should probably scale it in some way. Maybe scale it to your own AD stuff; 'for each model/unit in the army with AD, you may choose an enemy non-character model/unit to lose Ambush and AD'. Fits well with the scouting theme, useful without being crippling to your opponent. Non-character stops you hosing Wormwood. Wolves: Urgh. Needs a real rework. I imagine they're planning to release loads more models at some point, but for now.... All jacks gaining magical weapons, Greylord Ternion being a free option, the theme-based Take Down... I dunno. That one needs loads of work, but the others just need tweaks.

I don't think the problem with Wolves is the theme benefits, giving magical weapons to the jacks would be super redundant with everything already having magical weapons in the theme. The problem with Wolves is that the doom reavers and greylord stuff is overcosted, sure it lacks model choice but until wolves gets a real cid it will remain a problem.
Jaws is the theme with the most theme issues. The benefits are just bad, it's a spd 4 jack theme with no bonus to help with scenario presence. Make jacks have +2 spd when they run like in WWFF instead of giving mechaniks reposition and now the theme starts being interesting instead of just being the I will lose on scenario theme.

At least Wolves of Winter is not as bad as it's Mk2 incarnation, where it gave your CMD 8 Greylord Ternion Advance Deployment... along with your Abomination Doom Reavers...

Would Doom Reavers be worth 13 points if they had Sacred Ward instead of Spell Ward?

Doomies, Fenris and Outriders need a 2pt cost shave. I dunno if people still remember, but Doomies and Outriders were the ones who went up in cost relative to mk2 when most models in the game went down and that's even before counting the B2 theme cost reduction.
Ternion are ok cost-wise, but lack meaningful synergy with Doomies to take them.

Mag7 SP8 POW12 is more than worth 2.33 points. Everything else in their kit is a bonus.

Ternion just need to go up to 5 boxes, and well be able to affect doom reavers with their cloud, which really lack a target at the moment.

Sooo . . . Sacred Ward on Doomies? either that or give them a mini feat similar to the butcher 3 feat, as in, enemy models can't charge the doom reavers. to keep with the fluff that they're terrifying.
