The Theme Forces CID was part of the Northkin cycle, where they tested the inclusion of mercs and minions into the theme forces. There were no Khador reports. I think all the updated themes came out in October or November?

The theme force dump was before the CID process if I'm not mistaken. I'm really curious to see how the greylord adjunct will change things for us, if its spell list actually help with some of khador's issues and it's not just restricted to wolves of winter it could be a game changer for us. The original theme force dump was, but the inclusion of mercs and minions came later

The addition of Alexia1 was put in the orange/red category but a table full of Slayers with carapace is okay? Really? Table full of slayers with carapace is ok, it's gaspy3's kit that breaks it. My impression is that it slipped through the cracks because it never really went into CID it was all stuff released before the cid cycle really began. To be fair to PP, Gaspy3 Slayerspam is one of the rare outlier that is still way too strong and they did a pretty good job at balancing the other boogeymen. Haley3 might need a touch but I don't think she's as bad for the game as Gaspy3.

Haley3 would be fine if the copies didn't have power field

I think they'd be fine if they simply weren't incorporeal.

One thing that bugs me about Khador is why the flip Legion of Steel specifies 'Non-Character' merc unit.
Just seems completely arbitrary and pointless, unless PPs intention is for the theme to get bummed remorselessly by anything incorporeal.

My guess is Alexia1 would be too obnoxious, or Nyss would give the theme more shooting than intended. Struggling with incorp is probably just a side effect. Whether either of those would actually turn out to be true, is debatable.

Yeah I kind of don't understand why they would want to restrict a theme that way. All theme should be viable in a comptetitive pairing. Even if I think things like a forge seer marshalling a jack is not a good enough option for magical weapons it's at least there and in faction. Legion of steel has absolutely nothing in faction as an option.

Khador Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Legion of Steel [Irusk 2] Supreme Kommandant Irusk [+27] - Behemoth [25] Iron Fang Kovnik [0(4)] Kapitan Sofya Skirova [0(5)] Great Bears of the Gallowswood [9] Iron Fang Pikemen (max) [15] - Iron Fang Pikemen Officer & Standard [0(4)] Iron Fang Pikemen (max) [15] - Iron Fang Pikemen Officer & Standard [4] Iron Fang Uhlans (max) [20] Lady Aiyana & Master Holt [8] - Kapitan Valachev [4]

That list would be great into Grymkin.
Oh well, I hope adjunct will give out magical weapons. At least CID people should push for it.

I just want to live in a world where Grymkin can't mercilessly Firetruck me when I need to cast sigil of power. Having 2 sources for it would be hella rad

Having 2 sources for it would be hella rad Not disagreeing but to me having Grymkin waste that arcana to stop you from giving out magic weapons to kill a swarm feels absolutely like winning - especially if you are experienced (I really feel like Grymkin's power goes down the more you have played into them) and know how to mess with the order of activations (have the upkeep stuff move AFTER so that when he pulses out his better purify it doesn't catch stuff. It is also such a wildcard choice against us unless his entire plan hinges on leveraging the swarm for maximum irritation.

Playing against Grymkin does gets easier once you are past the initial few games against them. That being said, you still need to plan against the arcana on the table and that planing takes time on your clock. Grymkin are clearly beatable with the right list, but they remain a strong faction to go against, and if your list can't deal with the swarms you're pretty much dead from the start.

Got to the 26 minute mark, what a bunch of Moronic Whingers! There are a few grains of truth admittedly in what they are saying (The needless restriction of 'non-character mercs' in a couple of themes), but it mostly just sounds like a bunch of mediocre players bemoaning the fact they cannot herp-de-derp roflstomp everyone with Karchev Mad Dogs anymore.
