Ill be trying it this weekend but my initial thoughts took into account some of your complaints. His survivability and feat so i wanted to make use of key models to take advantage.
Three man-o-war models gain advance move. This list gives you options to alter your line op positions after your opponents deployed. Mostlikely Drakhun on flanks and a tanker solo move. (Mine will be both demo core units and a tanker)
I actually have an idea about what this list will play well into and i hope i can try it i to its poor machups as well.
Vlads feat is going to be used to push i to the enemy not avoid. If jacks kill models they move farther into enemy forces (same with cav.) And sidestep to keep reaching deep.
The list idea is providing pressure as demolition corps can create a 12 inch threat and under hand of fate hurt other medium infantry. (Wish hand of fate just dropped a die to make crits easier)
