Do we have any words on when Sorscha0 is going to be released? She really helps list building.

I think butcher will just get killed in that scenario. Since the army has a limited amout of hard hitting models.; ?? Maybe. Again, you have to be SLIGHLY cagey (not sure how cagey) with Bulldoze and impending doom but to me you have the ONE model you need to do to make this work..... TUrn 1 - Silence of Death on Butcher. Energize up the board and set up Devestators to block LOS and Charge lanes to Butcher. Camp 2. If going First Argii in Front, if not, behind. Ruin is in second wave position either parallel or behind Butcher. Again, to kill off Devestators will require SOME commitment. Gaspy does NOT have a debuff aura. I would have to see on the table top whether the Devestator can keep Machine Wraiths honest. (10 inch threat versus 14 inch range and 18 inch threat feels pretty good here Then, after absorbing the alpha - cause you WILL absorb the alpha (well not with Ruin who threatens 13 vs. 12 but we want to hold him I think). Butcher is at 3 dice -1 on Flashing blades. I figure he needs to likely cast ID (2), Initial, and then 2 flashing blades to neuter a ton of the boxes on the slayers. doesn't have to necessarily even kill them, just neuter their cortexes and/or arms. MOREOVER, with bulldoze you CAN get tasty "Rain(s) of Death" off which do NOT suffer from unyielding (not a melee attack) at Dice +1. Boost. Now you are looking at even MORE damage. Now I am NOT sure this is THAT good a plan against ANYTHING else (though I am tempted to try it for mindless fun and it WOULD mulch a TON of infantry cause ARM 23 with 34 boxes is a thing and a half when with just one one box left it creates the wonderous rain of death bubble. I might try some other things with the load out so I could squeeze in Orin and a shield guard so bucher could be "semi safe" from say the idiotic Haley list Juris runs (since this army screams "Control me and dominate my clams!" But it feels like that after the one huge combostrike hit you are OK.....and that if you can get rid of the machine wraith I am not sure WHAT he is supposed to do. Or alternatively, run Strakov2 and put IR on a Victor. OK. So Sure, straight dice on the combo strike. Sucks. But after that it is Dice -6 Probably takes 5-6 Slayers to kill the Collasal. And you gotta over commit cause double 1s or poor damage rolls DO happen. Finally, and I know you know this, don't let Gaspy3 cheat. COmbo strike is a star attack. Everything after that requires buying attacks. So weather out the combo and then get to it. (PS - On that specific note, you can neuter one slayer a turn with WMM and the widowcorp. Arms disabbled after 7 points of damage and once damage, no combo strike).

Even with just one arm slayers are not entirely hopeless, pow16 can still damage butcher, add calamity and it's not that hard to do. Gaspy3 can also put a lot of pressure on scenario on turn two with his feat up and you're stuck in a bad place with either losing on scenario, or fueling gaspy for the next turn.
I wouldn't call the sniper corps a reliable way to neuter a slayer. Sure if everything hits you can remove an arm, but you need one 5 and four 6 to his with everything, if my calculations are correct you have a bit less than 23% of chances of that working, assuming the slayer is in an open field, so not exactly reliable. Adding Kell to that would probably make it way more reliable.

This is dangerously drifting into theorcrafting (yes, San is definitely a kettle calling the pot black) because we are allowing the gapsy player PERFECT play on the turn that matters To speak to one point - if Gaspy is in range to deny you pulling the slayers out of control but into flashing blade/impending doom he should be absolutely in range for butcher to do what butcher does best. If need be go creative - using slams and bulldozes to get a slayer "back" to where it needs to be so Butcher can get the charge off and now we are threatening the full 15 inches. That is one dead Gaspy. We don't have a great Gaspy3 player in our meta. Maybe if I treck to LA later in the month a couple of the residents cryx players will have it assembled. But if you do, play it out. I think you will find that if you play it as an agressive "brick" headed straight for gapsy it can work. We are in total agreement that you can not reasonably out attrition a list with unyielding, carapace, mobility and 10 point slayers. Is NOT going to happen. I think we also agree that you can not out scenario him - or at least it is hard. Now depending on the build he doesn't have a lot of solos/units to score but surely he has enough and gaspy himself can go find someplace after sending the slayers off to do work. SO that leaves assassination. To your point, I put hillbillies in my first cut to help with the back contesting so at least he isn't scoring on YOUR turns (and hell, you might actually snipe out a point or 2 with your Yuri/Manhunter - and if not that is ONE/TWO less slayer to worry about and Gaspy tied down to his control bubble.

San, I can play Gaspy3x9 for you (with proxies, of course) if you like. How hard can it be? =P

I would guess that could be your draw with Haley2? Sure they have carapace but it also SCREAMS control me . Plus they are sad when they finally GET to Hurricane as they pound on ARM 20 (even with Calamity). We could have fun each running cryx and then report back that the boggie man isn't THAT much of a boggie man. I see lots and lots of TK and slams in Gaspy's future in that match up ;-)

Clearly simpler than any of the Haleys The list is rediculously powerful especially when going first.

Clearly simpler than any of the Haleys The list is rediculously powerful especially when going first. Since OUR LGS serves BEER Juris and I will figure out a time to play it for fun. I am sure I will be 0-2. But we will let folks know now it goes. Is this essentially the list? conflictchamber.com/#c4201b_-0UbY19191e1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v2k2k2BCryx Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] Black Industries [Asphyxious 3] Asphyxious the Hellbringer [+24] - Deathripper [0(6)] - Deathripper [0(6)] - Ripjaw [0(7)] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] - Slayer [10] Machine Wraith [2] Machine Wraith [2] Warwitch Siren [4]

Ironmongers giving you repair, Curse, and POW12 dismantle weapons is pretty good. Also, Gaspy3 has Calamity and Hex Blast, so he can theoretically make attacks against a Hurricane that is effective ARM17.

The version I've seen is with triple Nightwretch as far as the arc nodes goes. They usually do get some work done with their pour 14 guns. Melee arc nodes are not necessary when you have 9 slayers. And as Juris said, Iron Mongers for repair curse and scoring zones without exposing Gaspy.
