Iron Moot, Nordic championship
All cred to the 'Merc Boss' Oskar Sibeck for the only single digit placement without playing cygnar/cryx. But other than that this is just sad.

Makes you wonder if they win more events because their better OR because they have more people playing them.

It's just that when people start doing the " well Cygnar won 52% of major events last year they OP" you have to look deeper and be like... oh, Cygnar also represented 50% of the field at those events... so that doesn't really mean as much. If it was 1 player per tournament playing a faction and no matter who that player is they win with that faction... then there's a problem.

It's space marine syndrome, 40k players are used to this.

Because that is what they have the best chance of winning with. They have multiple factions but this is what they bring to major tournaments. They do it for a reason and that reason sure as hell is not that Cygnar look the coolest.

It's also a 16-player event.
Let's not read stupid amounts into it.

Combined with the L&L results, I'd say it's a pretty good indication that both Cygnar and Cryx as they stand are too good relative to the rest of the field. Whether or not the storm lance nerf fixes that Cygnar, we'll have to see, but IMO there's a very strong argument for some targetted nerfs to Deneghra.

I think any committed player who has 2 well tuned lists that he/she has practiced a considerable amount has a chance to win an event. I don't think we need to be busting out the nerf bat every time we see tournament results for a 16 player event.

This is the final event that they qualify to by placing good at the other tournaments during friday and saturday. Champions is on sunday. So these are the 16 qualified playerns. How about that? Here is one of the qualifers Iron Moot Masters. Rest you can click to yourselves.

I don't think we need to be busting out the nerf bat every time we see tournament results for a 16 player event. How many events have we seen Ghost Fleet win/take a substantial number of of the top spots at? It's not insubstantial. The list is brutal, requires specific counters (which some factions don't have good access to) and has a good chance of winning into those counters - all the hallmarks of a problem list. Weighing that against your 'feeling' that everyone had a chance...no. Weren't you ALSO one of the people that was right up there claiming that Storm Lances were fine and didn't need any changes? I seem to remember you were, and if so I honestly don't have a lot of respect for your 'feelings' about game balance. Finally, it's not a 'single' 16 player event. It's the top 16 players from a previous tournament in the final rounds. And whatever you think of the Iron Moot, L&L certainly wasn't a small tournament.

Karchev, Madrak , Una are all saying they are long lost relatives of the poster child family! I think the point is that it's concerning that PP has said that they're not considering nerfing top casters at this time, because they 'want the meta to sort itself out' - right when Cryx and Cygnar are top of the meta again, and Denny1 and Haley2 are the only real members of the old 'bogeymen' S+ tier casters in Mk2 that survived the transition ot Mk3 more of less unscathed.
