What would you do if warjack points got reduced by 15 points, and then added as regular poibts to game sizes.
Would you take less jacks then before? Default to a Behemoth?

It would depend on the caster. Though, if themes stay the way they are, 80 points of infantry would certainly show up in the infantry themes fairly frequently.

I would complain that Ghost Fleet and other infantry focussed themes in Warmachine factions do not need that sort of buff.

I think greater Warjack points have made the game better because you always see a battle group now. The real problem is with certain factions having preposterously cheep Jacks. The more appropriate solution would be to increase the points or decrease the abilities of these Jacks.

Let's not go back to mk2 after all the suffering mk3 caused... It's one of the great things the new edition brought.

I don't care competitive-wise, but stability-wise I object. We're already changing too many things in too short time to change even more things without a solid basis for it. And let's be honest there is no basis for such change at all.

All through Mark II and even part of MKI, the complaints were that infantry was too good, why take jacks? Well now you are forced to take more jacks that people want to play with and they have been made better for the most part (through cost or what have you and power up). So we can play with the big stompy mechs that brought us into the game. Lowering the jack points would gear people back toward infantry machine, that while is good for some factions, is not what I aesthetically want to see.

I would give zero shits and keep doing what I've been doing an adapt.

It really doesn't change anything. it's a lateral shift in distribution but still the same point total. So it would keep everything mostly the same, just widening the capacity for infantry-machine. Which is not terrible, but obviously was not the plan going into the edition.

I meant this more as a question whether you would run fewer warnouns.

You'd need to change battleboxes to 15 point armies of just battlegroup.
I like wjp where they are. If it were to change, I don't think it would affect my list building much.
Protectorate might be happy. The Avatar wouldn't be such a huge point sink.
I dunno. I don't really think it is necessary to change it.
Edit: Rowdy
I'd probably run the same amount of jacks in Cygnar and Rhulic. I haven't ever felt the need to bring less than 30 points of them.

I meant this more as a question whether you would run fewer warnouns. I get that. But I'm a suspicious, paranoid git so I'd be looking for what impending doom such a move would portent. As to your question: maybe. Depends on the list. Probably still more than the free points would give me in almost all cases.

Are people leaving because of that? Or because of the huge ill-explained badly presented over the knee sweeping changes? A lot of it was good or proven good but the communication was a mess from the first pic they showed.
