The end of the Trencher CID is upon us! (Yesterday, 03:58 PM) Thank you all very much for helping with the Trencher CID! We have seen a huge influx of new CID'ers over this cycle, so welcome to you all!
Please stay tuned for details on when we expect this to go live. We will also be announcing the start day of our next CID, Northkin of the Trollbloods faction, soon.
See you all at Lock and Load for some #CIDLive!
btw: Siege got
High Ground (cost: 2 range: Ctrl upkeep Place a 5˝ AOE anywhere completely within the spellcaster’s control range. The AOE is a hill terrain feature.
Time to change Janissa and allow for placing over models

Ich fänd den Hügel mit 5 Zoll und Platzierbarkeit auf bzw. unter Modellen schon stark genug. Cover ignorieren manche ja auch, Elevation eher nicht. das Arcing Fire ist auch nicht zu unterschätzen.

I'll be honest I rarely ever use the hill ability. most times she stays safe and unjams if needed or throws out rock hammers. Then she comes forward to slide models or create a hill for the assassination attempt. If you're assassinating you're usually already pretty all in so it doesn't matter if you place it under or not.

Well runeshapers on a Hill dug in and +2 def from Grissel, means they are def 20 and very hard to hit with ranged attacks. Of Grissel and beasts on the Hill. The beasts Will be def 16 and Grissel def 19. Very good. But hard to get it, if you can not place the Hill where models are standing

Do those two effects stack? I suppose I've always thought they wouldn't because +2 and +4 can't stack from cover and concealment, right?
If so, that would be a good thing to note! Lol.

Deflection from Grissel2 does not grant Concealment. It is just a straight +2 DEF against ranged and magic attacks.

Ragnor on a hill, using Earth's Sanctuary and Earth's Blessing. DEF 20, can only be moved by a Throw or TK?. "Yo MK2 Sorscha1, watch me, watch me!" Good times!

Just pointing out that Siege did not get that High Ground. The last update has him at a 4" Hill that can't be placed touching any models.
Hoping a Janissa's hill gets a rework is likely futile.

I think the important part of the message here is 'Northkin of the Trollblood Faction'.
I'm hesitant to say this will not include some models we have been hoping will undergo some changes (elemental lights, champion/warder box changes or points changes), and instead will be just the new theme force models, plus maybe one or two of current models e.g. Bearka (similar to the trencher CID and Kraye).

TBH I'm pretty with most of the Elemental Lights at the moment. In Power of Dhunia they are really efficient when you want throwaway infantry killing lights. Slags are bonkers with Doom2 ADR, lets you trade up big time when you wind them up with rage, feat and krielstone strength. Night Troll with Stealth native, 3 initials and Attract as an animus did work for me last weekend, freeing up lanes and plowing through dudes. Pyre Troll is still a great enabler for when you're taking Northkin Fire Eaters and the animus is a huge boost in certain matchups (makes playing PoM or Legion gunlines less appealing when your opponent has a pyre troll in their pair). Swamp Troll has some cute assassination potential with Grim2 and Gunny and his animus is pretty solid. Storm Troll has been a solid addition to lists that plan on plowing through stuff like Cephalyx. The only one I'm not in love with is the Winter Troll and I'm not sure what to do there. Its animus isn't particularly valuable because most cold effects you're afraid of (stationary) are already blocked by Earth's Blessing, and its gun isn't that great. IMO if they made it Assault and Spray 6 then I think it would see more play.
