Can we talk here for a minute about the Grolar with our Boundless Charge casters, +/- Malakov.
Sorscha 2. I hadn't thought about this before, since I haven't played S2 in MK3 (she was my favorite caster in MK2), but I think a WG theme with a Grolar marshalled by by Malakov would be...well..sick.
Feat turn, it's fully loaded charging with a 12" threat that extends 1" with each hit. He's rolling straight dice against ARM 20 targets, so on feat turn you're looking at 20 pts on the initial, and 14 points on follow up attacks. If you're fighting ARM 18 beasts you're looking at 24 pts on the initial. So, yeah, I hear you saying "why not just take a Juggernaut", and I think it comes down to the 1" follow up (which is good in it's own right) added on top of the feat. If your opponent has spaced them too close together, you're going to be able to take two heavies off the board in one round.
Butcher 2. The addition of Ravager on top of the 1" push/attack means you have two reliable pacmen on the board. I probably don't put the Grolar on Malakov because I want access to Ravager and Conferred Rage. Charge the Grolar. Hit your target. Push your target 1" and move towards your target. If the target is dead then you immediately make another free melee attack within your melee range. Each time you kill something you generate a rage token which you can use against multi-wound or high def targets. This combo looks sick.
Sorscha 1. OK, she's got boundless charge, but with her feat and Freezing Grip I think the Knockdown mechanic is less valuable, but you'll get optimal use of the gun. She does nothing for her battlegroup so if you bring WGK then Malakov looks like an option. There's not a huge disincentive for your opponent to cluster his troops up, because if he does you pop off one boosted freezing grip, charge in a loaded Grolar, and take all of them off the table between RAM and the gun.
Vlad 1. We already knew this was good. I don't think Malakov makes sense because you give up the feat, which is too valuable in my book.
