If I were going to Speed Machine, I'd go for assassination every time. So I'd try this list:
War Room Army
Skorne - speed Skorne
Theme: Imperial Warhost 1 / 1 Free Cards 15 / 15 Army
Xerxis, Fury of Halaak - WB: +28 - Tiberion - PC: 22 (Battlegroup Points Used: 22) - Rhinodon - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6) - Agonizer - PC: 0
Bog Trog Mist Speaker - PC: 4
Paingiver Beast Handlers - Leader & 3 Grunts: 5
THEME: Imperial Warhost ---
GENERATED : 07/31/2018 15:06:30 BUILD ID : 2067.18-06-10
Agonizer keeps everything in his list hard to kill, wasting the opponent clock. Tiberion kills, makes it hard to clear a zone, makes it easier for you to clear a zone, and protects from ranged attacks. Put the Rapport or Ignite on the Rhinodon as needed, and Spiny Growth + Agonizer should help Xerxes2 survive any one who gets to you first. Mist Speaker to help you kill incorporeal and hold a flag.

I suspect they may get more use once the Supreme Guardian comes out. It will allow decent soul collection in MoW so that you can double dip with them. Mordikaar can probably make good use of them in MoW now, but then you are playing him without access to Void Spirits... And that stinks.
I've considered them a lot in both Makedas, but because the Ferrox are so good at what the Keltari already do there usually isn't room for them.

While we're here, does anyone use Swamp Gobber River Raiders? You know as 3 cheap solos? I do. I run them in a WoD Rasheth list. Use the feat to ensure they hit, then use their debuffs to double up on the feat debuffs and Agonizers crying to make it so that enemy war beasts can never hurt you. Sometimes you can also charge with their melee weapon to lower the enemy defense, then use their harpoon pistol to run away so that others can then shoot the targets newly lowered defense. I've also used them, hilariously, to lower the defense of my own turtles so that my beast handlers can hit them more reliably. I've also used them to ensure my Breath of Corruption clouds are placed properly. Lastly, I've had people tell me I've won a moral victory for even putting them on the table.

Paingivers, Krea, Shaman, Agonizer, Willbreaker, Soulward. Those are all used interchangeably in nearly every list.

If you're putting stuff behind your turtles, you're going to have a bad time with your gun line. I tend to either flank one on either side of my army, or put two of them together on one side. They don't do well sitting in the middle because of the LOS blocking terrain rule in the middle of the table, and if that terrain is a forest, they can't see much and your enemy always sees them. This usually puts a unit of reivers wherever there's a shooting lane and then beasts fill in everywhere else, since the two Cyclops shamans that I run have Ghost Shot, they are perfect for putting behind the center LOS blocking piece. This should guarantee that you always have shooting vectors that aren't blocked by other pieces of your army, but the terrain is the hardest part to get around for unpacking the army. At least battle engines having pathfinder makes it a lot easier. Do you have trouble with the Battle Engines blocking each other?

Does anyone ever use this? I'm running a Derple WoD list and their giant butts keep blocking all my LoS, so I've been considering using more Arcing Fire models

It doesn't, right? It doesn't stack? Just as a general rule, like named abilities dont stack, so two instances of a rule named Veteran Leader doesn’t stack on one model. That's what I figured, but I knew there was something non-intuitive about it: Veteran Leader does work on other models, so two Venator Dakars work on each other. Also, if I remember right, multiple Bronzebacks do let you remove multiple fury.

I am... Utterly baffled by that list. I see the results, so I'm sure it works... Somehow. I just don't understand why the choice of Makeda over... Well, most other beast casters. Is it basically the Mammoth shooting to clear a path, Puissance, Side Step, Quicken, and Rush to send Molik Karn as far up the field as possible? It's... Interesting. Like, I'm checking my own models to see if I can run this.
Though I still don't think that this list makes the Mammoth a good model. It feels like the least important piece of the whole list.

The one that can throw molik kharn a million miles away... makeda 1 i think. Like, you mean literally throw Molik with the Mammoth? Because I never in a million years would have considered that... Wait, you can't throw your own models.

But, PP went awry with their own fluff plenty of times before, so I would not rule it out completely. Oh, try not to read any of the fluff for the beasts. It's very clear they stopped letting it dictate the rules... Which, is probably a good thing, but it makes me nostalgic for yester year

I sort of see them as a non unit specific WA, like the Retribution Soulless Escort, doing the reverse of Magic Static for friendly spells... Letting you target the unit with spells like Fury at longer than normal ranges.

How would you change it if you wanted to make it "worth it" to put on the table?

Two things: If you are playing any of the Lyls, you will have low fury scores and will therefore really appreciate the Telemetry the Bloodseer will bring. So will your Ice Witches and BFS. Teraph? It feels like a better use of points than the Ravagore if you are really going to spam fire. Otherwise you are paying for all the pillow-fisting of the Ravagore's melee with a caster who can't really support it. Plus AD and Dig In is really useful in a shooting game.
