Have you considered Midas running much the same list? I'd probably trade Maximus for Scythe if I were to make that swap, but otherwise you could run that exact list with improved shooting and Feat turn damage output on tap every turn.

I hadnt looked at Midas, but I'd considered Azazello, and they could both play this list with few to no changes.
If the excersise is solely to buff the Brigands both are better than Carver, but I think they both lose too much when not in WWFF.
Carver likes WWFF too... so maybe I'm saying that I think Carver is the right choice with Brigands, because he's the one who hates Thornfall the least?

Hm, I've never been all that convinced that Midas needs the Fury support in WWFF to function, and he definitely doesn't need it for a 25 point game. But conversely a greater percentage of the list is going to have to be Warbeasts anyway if you're playing Carver, so Batten has more (relative) value.
