Interesting. I assume you mean webstores, or are there b&m stores that you know of? Yes Both Firestorm and Wayland Games in the UK have Neo-Mechanica up for pre order on their respective websites. Both are large online retailers and also have a physical B&M store. Im not sure if this means that those stores are getting it in stock as a regular item for the shelves, or are only planning to order the exact amount of pre-orders that they get.

Good thing there's definitely not a global pandemic preventing people from gathering in large groups and performing social activities like playing brand-new miniature wargames. Also, it's a shame that the Internet Wars of 2037 reduced all the world's websites on games down to only BoardGame Geek.
I would have made the aggressive "Internet Wars of 2037" sentence a link, but nobody would have gotten the joke, given the way this forum formats links. Would have been funny, though.
But for real, man. What is your obsession with basing your opinions of Privateer's products on BoardGame Geek reviews/etc., anyway? Roughly every fifth post you bring up how X doesn't have a review, or has one bad review, or Y doesn't have as many reviews as some other non-PP game and therefore it's trash, etc. Why do does it seem like you are compelled to try to tear down other people's enjoyment and/or enthusiasm about Privateer products? If someone enjoys one of Privateer's games, why should that person care about the opinions of people who don't?

Hey, I am genuinely interested in opinions of actual players so let me be, no need to be obnoxious. Have you checked your own link ? A few videos by PP (hardly objective) and some unboxing or model review, which is not what I am looking for. Googling "Warcaster neomechanika review" or "Warcaster neomechanika battle report" didn't provide me with satisfactory results either (mostly stuff from the 1st half of the year, so speculation not actual experience).
BGG is the biggest source of info on tabletop games, period. You ignore it at your own peril.

How can I if I don't have the game? It was far too expensive for me to go in blindly. That's why I am looking for actual, first-hand experiences of regular players. They are more valuable to me than PP's advert videos or baseless fanboism.

Not sure if its been mentioned but Glass Half Dead on youtube is the only place i have seen a 3rd party detailed overview, play through and Bat Reps. Far more "useful" than the PP vids and streams. It was those videos that showed me 1) its a solid game with lots of potential but 2) its not for me. If you haven't checked them out, I think it would be worth your time. But your right that there appears to be very little about the game out there in the "war-gaming/board-gaming media", however you define that.

1) its a solid game with lots of potential but 2) its not for me. Care to elaborate ? Sure thing Its not that I do not think it’s a good game. It is and I want to see it do well. Because if it does, PP prospers and by extension, WM/H prospers through funding and potential new players. But I have limited time to play wargames and on top of WM/H I already play a smaller scale skirmish game, Malifaux and im very invested in it. I love Malifauxs models, mechanics, community etc. Sadly, for me Warcaster is just not unique or established enough for me to want to divert my time and money away from Malifaux to Warcaster. I would need to drop Malifaux to make time and there is nothing in Warcaster that makes me want to do that. Other things like cost, availability, an apparent lack of interest here in the UK also make me concerned about Warcasters “penetration” into the UK market. On the other hand, Malifaux is well established and has a thriving community here in the UK, probably about the same in number as WM/H (maybe a bit more??) but arguably much much healthier in terms of community attitude, outlook, friendliness, communications with the company making it etc. So, as I say, im unwilling to give that up for another PP product that doesn’t provide what im after in this scale of game. On the other hand, Wyrd attempt at a WM/H scale game was shockingly bad and nearly buggered the company up a year or so back so its not like Wyrd are above reproach or infallible in my eyes. Its just that id prefer to play their game over Warcaster. Sounds like a negative Nancy rant. Its not meant to be. I welcome Wacaster and I think it’s a very positive direction for PP to be heading in, diversifying the types of game they provide, along with RQ etc. Its just that Warcaster imo is inferior to games I already play and am invested in. Hope that makes sense.

Similar to Beardmonk, I already own/play a different-mechanics, small skirmish game, Infinity. Also based in futuristic space and to which a great group of players have gravitated.
Gaming time is limited. Engaging in another new will have to wait until I retire from work, or one of my other games/gaming groups.

I think neo mechanika has sufficiently differend game mechanics to stand out for me. Once you respawn your nicely painted minis you don't go back to removing buckets of minis. I love it, it's really great and fun. The setting also clicks with me - so I will endure the starting period before the game really settles Tough I do not play another non PP game at the moment that would give true competition here!
