Im not going to lie. Im actually pretty impressed. Alternating activations, full 3d terrain, full scenario driven play. Very much like Malifaux which i love.
I still have the same concerns about distro and buy in from retailer in the UK. But game play wise, im sold.
Europe has always been hard for PP shipping. I think a suggestion (which this wasn't necessary) but group buying/ordering seems to work. On on the flip side, we have to do the same thing here in the States for Mantic.
This week, we’ve got a preview of the Raker, an Aeternus Continuum squad attachment that will be featured in the next block of Warcaster releases.
Stalking the battlefield like a predatory hunting beast, the Raker is a synthetic savage created by the Aeternus Continuum to support its Vassal forces in battle. Along with a suite of sophisticated sensory aparati, the bestail simaculum relies on cloaking technology and powerful pneumatic mandibles to engage its prey up close.
The Raker is on a 50mm base
I tried linking the video directly from the Kickstarter update, I hope everyone can see it.

link doesn't work on my end. mechano-raek looks ok, I guess. doesn't look as nice as the rest of the lineup.
Funnily enough a couple of guys over on Dakka said this was their favourite W:NM sculpt so far.
unfortunately not everyone can be a patrician.
I do not understand what you mean.
To clarify my own previous comment, I just find it interesting that different models we're seeing in W:NM seem to hit the right note for different people. It's probably a good sign, if it means that the game will explore a range of aesthetic styles and draw in people with different tastes.

is joke, the implication here is that if you like this sculpt you're not a patrician, therefore you are a pleb.
-> Plebian is used as a derogatory term for someone considered unsophisticated or uncultured.
Seen some UK people posting images of their stuff turning up. Sadly, after taking a look around the UK online stores there is 0 NeoMechanica presence, nobody seems to have backed the retail pledge or be planning to stock the game or be advertising it in any way. I could be very wrong but that doesn't bode that well for take up and market exposure over here.
It's a little early for that I think. One German site has it listed, but I doubt they will have it available that soon. They probably just added it after it was added to the German PP retailer Burst. www.fantasywelt.de/Warcaster_2

As i said, i could be wrong. I just would have expected that if stores had backed they would be advertising or some such, trying to get pre-orders etc.
I for one hope it does catch on and do well here because it would be amazing to see PP more popular as a games company in the UK and their name get lifted up. Which is why im quite sad to see an apparent complete lack of coverage.

As a store I would be very hesitant to support this via Kickstarter, before it is officially available through distributors. I would have personally gotten the sampler as an enthusiast but that's all

Just as a reminder: Privateer is using Kickstarter precisely because distributors have been unreliable for the past several years. Distributors stock only evergreens (product basically guaranteed to sell, such as Magic) and basically minimum orders of new releases, which rarely get restocks. This is due to the overwhelming volume of new product that has been releasing for the past several years. There are something like 15 new board games released each week, or some goofy number like that.
Distributor problems are the cause for the major consolidations of the past few years, such as Asmodee and...whoever else did that. (I forgot. This isn’t my day job. )
