Double Forges of War in a tournament pair

Rhan is sufficiently different from Vyros2 and Hylenna that he would pair well with them. I would be hesitant to pair Vyros2 with Hylenna because even though he relies on melee and she relies more on shooting they're still fairly similar. I suppose the sort of Hylenna army you propose, relying on Covering Fire and attrition would be decent at covering some of Vyros2's bad match ups, but I'd need to play it out to be sure.

Just pray you don't run into a Strike Force-heavy mirror match!

Personally I don't think a Strike Force heavy mirror would be that dangerous even though they will get a lot of work done one your jacks. Chain Blast can do some work even if they spread out, Force Barrier makes HSBM are Def 15 against range which Strike force will struggle to hit, and with Discordia you have another piece that can not only cripple strike force with the +2ARM but will also a Spray10 is going to get work done even against stealth.

I did this with v2 and Thyron and liked the combo.

Thyron core was 2 manticore, 2 Phoenix, 3 griffons, battle mages, artificer sylys and arcanists.

I'm a weird dude so my Kaelyssa army may be unconventional, but it has Discordia, a Banshee, two units of Strike Force, and various solos and light myrmidons that I shuffle in and out from game to game.

Rahn has all sorts of problems against this army because Stealth vastly reduces the effectiveness of his Battle Mage buddies, Banishing Ward makes assassination very difficult (though it does hamper Kaelyssa to keep it on herself), and between Blur and the Kinetic Field the Strike Force are hard to kill. Strike Force shred ARM 18 myrmidons while boosted shots or pure weight of fire can take down the Battle Mages - DEF 15 is good but Strike Force still hit that about 1/3rd of the time. The myrmidons won't benefit much from the Artificer's Force Barrier as they can be made stationary or get knocked down fairly easily.

I've never played against a Rahn army that had Discordia but she would be a key piece on the other side, as ARM 20 is a much harder nut for the Strike Force to crack. A combo of a colossal and Discordia would probably be the best core of a Rahn army to take on Kaelyssa.

My Kaelyssa army also does a number on Vyros2 as you would expect, because even if you jam with Griffons the Strike Force can just swarm them in melee. Vyros1 would probably fare better as his army is faster and he has a stronger assassination game and tends to take more infantry (i.e. any infantry at all), but I have yet to play against him with Kaelyssa so that's just speculation on my part.

List drop is fairly simple. Thyron is the main drop, he wants To go into matches without numerous boostable attacks. If he can get the opponent down to >1 heavy, they probably won't be able to kill Thyron. Then you send him in to try and force a scenario victory with him holding an entire zone by himself.

Vyros is there to handle lists you think can kill Thyron, or massive heavy spam (Amon/other classic synergy lists, lists with lots of accurate weapon masters, though that could probably go either way, etc....)

I ran Thyron into ghost fleet and did well against scarre 2. His list honestly couldn't touch me
