I'm not really seeing any issue with Reznik 1 though. In fact, the only casters which seem questionable are Kreoss 2 and Feora 2, maybe Harbinger.
I do. His kit is scattered every which way, and he doesn't have anything to spare. he wants his focus, but also wants to buy more attacks. he can play a move shenanigan, a massive bg offense buff, or be a personal assassination vector on par with the butcher, but usually only one at a time and it dampens his overall impact. every play tends toward high risk for moderate reward.
They have included non theme models in the theme CID if they really feel like the model needs it. I don't see why the recliner wouldn't fall under that category. Also remain one being able to pull from multiple wracks, up to three or something would fix him
Bastions/Cinerators would be fine at 5 wounds if they had higher ARM or an ability like carapace. Cinerators should get defensive line and takedown.
the problem with Bastions is too much damage leaks past their armor, especially from shooting, which makes sanguine bond largely pointless.
Errants/Elias need better nesting of their abilities and unyielding fixed.
KE need 2" reach. KES needs an elite cadre/commander ability.
Vengers need to not just be worse Uhlans, they should at least cost 1 less point.
Kreoss2/Gravus need to do more. Kreoss2 should get cleansing fire/chasten combined into hex blast and get road to war as a new spell. Gravus should gain back the old oracular vision ability he used to have.
He really could go up to Focus 7....
He also needs a survivability bump.
Reznik1 should have unyielding and be FOC7 (either that or make brand of heresy only cost 2)
and unyielding should be changed so it just gives +2 ARM vs melee attacks
I'm not going to keep kicking the dead horse when it come to Bastions and Cinerators, you all have covered my concerns already with them. After thinking about it some more. I would love to have back their burst ability on their sword, the one where enemy models within 1" of an enemy model destroyed by a Cinerator catch on fire.
Adding the Avatar to this CID will be helpful. Giving him back his immunity to being disrupted would go a long way to getting him back on the table. Lowering his point cost would be greatly appreciated too as he doesn't get to benefit from battlegroup spells.
The KES is in an odd spot. He doesn't give any sort of benefit, he just benefits from dudes being near him. I agree giving him any ability to buff those around him would be nice. Relentless charge was my first thought, but tough sounds fair and bit more thematic, but if the trooper doesn't die, he won't get healed, just saying.
The Bastion Seneschal I think it in a great spot, especially if we are able to get some decent buffs onto the bastions. If I was to do anything to him, I would either give him a point reduction or give him Unyielding and/or grant it to Bastions as an option to help out Bastions.
A Cinterator Seneschal would be cool to see. Not really sure where this one could go, but I'm excited at the idea. Maybe he gives Relentless Charge. Oh, and he has a drive that is comparable to the Bastion Seneschal's. How about the jack gains pathfinder and charges without needing to use the jack marshal ability... Basically I want the jack to always be affected by Boundless Charge.
As for something new, what about a special 3-man unit, FA:1 (not character) or FA:2, that is a group of Exemplar priests with various buffs that can get into combat if needed? These would obviously be troop or Exemplar specific buffs.
