I don't know what benefit to lose, but what if the theme gave one non-AD unit advance move for each heavy warbeast?

I don't know what benefit to lose, but what if the theme gave one non-AD unit advance move for each heavy warjack? I mean, Circle doesn't have warjacks, so... Honestly, I would be very happy to see the 'warbeasts gain snacking' benefit become something more splashy. Looking at the other 'infantry themes' with Jack/Beast benefits, the benefits given are much splashier. Carapace, Hand of Vengeance, Blessed, Flank etc. I guess you could argue that free corpse tokens is the splashy theme benefit for DevHost, but it really feels more like something Tharn/Death Wolves just need to be decent at their core job.

I like the thematic-ness of snacking on the warbeast (and think it's hilarious that Megalith can do it with no mouth) but it rarely has much impact. I find the same from tracker in Wildhunt. It would be nice to have something more effective for the themes.

But it’s too likely that you’ll play on a board with 0 relevant forests for it and you can’t make a the plan out of it. Also, Only 1 Of our living heavies actually has pathfinder.

Well, we have a unit that makes small forests, 2 casters with Wild Growth and a feat that makes a forest... We can be pro-active in ways to leverage tracker.

Interesting fix for that would be to allow tracker to go through clouds as well...might be too powerful

But to me that just adds some convenience for 2 of our casters...one of whatcha ok not convinced willl play well with Wild Hunt and you can’t take Sentry Stones in Wild Hunt. Sure Wurmwood has some cute interactions. He probably leverages it more than most, but it’s still situational and weak considering the other theme benefits. I have only seen Wild Hunt work with either Tanith Double reeves, or Grayle. The list has almost no staying power. Even skinwalkers are not that hard to remove. Hopefully the croc pot with death wolves helps that out a bit.

Kreuger1 also plays a good wild hunt game. He personally handles the cloud issue and any infantry swarm and he adds enough survivability to the army vs ranged lists with the +3 defense vs shooting. This allows the rest of the list to focus on damaging heavies with big CRAs and lightning tendrilled battle group (ferals, stalkers and purebloods). The ambushing wolves are just a nice cherry on top to annoy your opponent. conflictchamber.com/#c8201b_-0q404O4M4Mc9c94S5s4S5s4U4WCircle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Wild Hunt (Krueger 1) Krueger the Stormwrath [+28] - Feral Warpwolf [18] - Pureblood Warpwolf [17] - Pureblood Warpwolf [17] Gallows Grove [2] Gallows Grove [2] Reeves of Orboros (max) [16] - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [0(4)] Reeves of Orboros (max) [16] - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [0(4)] Wolves of Orboros (max) [11] - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [4] conflictchamber.com/#c8201b_-0q404B5l5lc9c95j5j5j4S5s4S5s4U4WCircle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Wild Hunt (Krueger 1) Krueger the Stormwrath [+28] - Gorax Rager [7] - Warpwolf Stalker [19] - Warpwolf Stalker [19] Gallows Grove [2] Gallows Grove [2] War Wolf [2] War Wolf [2] War Wolf [2] Swamp Gobber Chef [1] Reeves of Orboros (max) [16] - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [0(4)] Reeves of Orboros (max) [16] - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [0(4)] Wolves of Orboros (max) [11] - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [4]

Mostly, it just amounts to potentially ameliorating a few order of activation issues. You can always activate your caster/sentry stone/etc. after the model with Tracker has gone, after all. Also doesn't really change the fact that most of our living beasts lack pathfinder (and thus have a hard time taking advantage of it) or that our best living beast (arguably) already has Pathfinder.

You guys missread me. I wasn't saying it was one of the good options we have, I was saying we can use tracker beyond the randomness of tables.

I'm just being obnoxious. <3
I'm so keen for DH CID, I've been playing it a bunch lately and I have so many ideas ready to go.

I'm torn between being very hopeful that we'll see a substantial number of the buffs we need, and concerned that we'll get the Legion treatment, and have a substantial number of our needy living beasts left out in the cold.

I'd lean towards the optimistic, looking at the MOW CID they've also addressed some of the cheap khador 'jacks as well so I'd saw the warpwolves at least are gonna get a point drop

Tharn CID Had an idea about improving Tharn Blood Pack. Keep their lower power melee weapons, but increase the melee range to 2” (since the ‘bow blade’, if using the bows as a melee weapon is the same length as the Ravagers axes anyway). It would mean they could actually get use out of Heart Eater when they assault/ still have something to hit if their bow killed the charge target. Due to lower POW and no overtake etc, they wouldn’t be replacing Ravagers’ roll and could start to have tabletop relevance.
