In Summary:
Before rules Reveal:
Strahkov 2: Oh boy another Warcaster Unit. Whoo. Can't help but get pumped for the same old stuff. Yaaay. Old Witch 2: OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
After Rules reveal
Strahkov 2: OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIII Old Witch 2: OK I guess. Doesn't really do anything all that new in faction sans the first damage debuff. Eh.

Speaking of which, at what parts of the game do you think Big Kommando should cast his spells? Turn 1 Last Stand? I'd stick out Quicken turn 1 and Invioable Resolve. just because Spd6+2 Man o War are funny.

Okay Strakhov, I know you're a sneaky dude and all, but stealing Zaal's spells is not cool.

I know I've been bored with Khador recently but Snakehov2 looks amazing.

Trying to picture a list with him. As far as I can tell he's THE ultimate infantry delivery man. Consider the following: Strakhov2 2x Uhlans/Mows/Fangs Put Quicken on one unit, Resolve or Last Stand on other and then feat defensively. Next turn you should have most of your stuff intact due to feat and rotate either Quicken for max threat or Last Stand for max damage. Obviously Last Stand will kill your stuff, but against some armies it can be reasonable to trade two units for crippling amount of damage.
He also works well with ranged units. Quicken+run turn 1 on WGRC allows them to threat the whole board turn 2. And Quicken can be rotated for your 14" shooters to have an alpha on their 14" shooters, and you can again feat defensively to double ranged alpha the opp.
Other our casters can hit hard without killing their own stuff, but they can't feat defensively so he has this specific niche at least.
And jack-based lists are obviously better under his first version.

Try to think about this guy. Wich is the best unit to run with him?
The new IF theme offer some possibilities, but it has its weaknesses. Snipers, spells, corrosion. However, if you choose to AD a unit of Blackdragons, you have a SPD8 ARM16 unit that run toward the enemy, plus Ironzeal, shieldwall and feat they are ARM24, so pretty nasty. Also last stand can be nice to have a really one-round extremely heavy hitter unit. Than you have the GBoG and kovniks to countercharge and strakhov itself is not so easy to kill thanks to cloud and stealth.
But maybe a MoW army? With the kovniks they are SPD8, thay can reach ARM 24 and 8 boxes, so corrosion and snipers are not so terrible for them. But last stand seems a bit wasted on them. However, democorps with last stand hits inredibly hard on charge. If you run them already damaged in battle and you expect they'll not survive the retalation, can be an idea.
Strakh2 is a front line caster, all his spells are RNG 6 or so. It has his own tools to survive, but a wall of steel in front of him can be nice to have.
And wich jacks? It hasn't so many tools to speed them up, something ranged maybe?
And how to use return fire? Wich models are the best targets for it?

Well he Works with all our Shield-Wall Infantrie best I think (AK, IF, BD, MoW-Shocks). I would either play him in the Legion of Steel or out of theme entirley (I dont like rng guys with him). His biggest weakness is pathfinder in his army I think, so that means outside of LoS I would definatly take Saxon. In LoS I think I would take a mix, IF bring a bit of Pathfinder, Uhlans are good targets for all his Spells, and BD work good with his feat. Out of Theme Mow-Shockies come to mind with CMA (to use on the weak ones) an a generally pretty high armor (this is a more defensive route). I like Nyss + Valachev for Quicken with him, since we don't really have good targets for that. (apart from the speed). I think I would rather ran a Sniper Boat with him than WG, just because I see no real benefit apart from them being good. As For Jacks: Behemoth is an obvious choice to take just 1 Jack. Good target for Return Fire. Conquest can be really solid with +2 Arm and Return Fire Kodiaks are good because they are focus efficent and help with the Pathfinder issue Last Stand Marauders can do pretty nice things to Colossals Other Mentions: Fun Carriage, Same as Conquest, good Arm and Return Fire target.

I want to wait for the MoW theme to play him, even if with all thise news (strak2, forgeseer, jack and IFP theme) i think i'm ok with my pairing. Maybe i could try to build a ARM skew list outside any theme, with one or two units of MoWs and something else...

I said she wouldn't be that great and no one listened to me. I said the same about Zerkova2 when everyone was all excited and no one listened. Strakhov2 looks legit amazing though. You should probably all listen to me. Save

I'm not a Khador player, but he looks pretty solid from the other side. I'm looking forward to fighting him. Not to mention that I get fun quotes if I assassinate him.
"Snake, what's going on? Snake? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKE!"

Only if we get to say he's going nuclear instead of attempting an assassination or go "WOAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" whenever we clock back to you. or say "A weapon to surpass Metal Gear" when we start Behemoth's activation.

We should have a thread for when Strakhov personally manages to take down a colossal .
