A friend of mine talked to Doug Hamilton about it, and they did say that their primary design inspiration for the L&L Exclusives were WWII-era pin ups. Doing a quick google search, Rinny and all the other exclusives are pretty tame compared to some pin-ups. Mind you, I'm all in for a buff dude as an L&L Exclusive, but they are following a recognized art trend. Oh, also you forgot the Hollow Man Beefeater that was a Smogcon exclusive. As I wrote, those are the models listed in the SR document, no more, no less. There are other models, the beefeater as you mention (the most boring one, defintely) thagrosh painter as well. You can put them into the list in your head if you think it will help any argumentation. Those models also just cement my point. And as I also mentioned, no one model in particular is aggregious in any way. As you say, the pin-up artform is one of many artforms. But why must all the female models be portrayed that way when the male ones are not? This is what is disgusting, not the particular model itself. Again your argument kind of falls appart because all the sexy female ones are lock and load exclusives. If it's not a lock and load exclusive it's not sexy. Like if they come out with a female non lock and load exclusive mini it will not be sexy. From the lock and load exclusives the only male one is the kilt lifter. And there is definately a sexual joke in that model. Cause welp looking up his..... i don't need to explain the joke.

Stop overlooking the fact that Reinholdt is the first transexual model in the Iron Kingdoms. PP is clearly progressive af. Rinny is beautiful and does not deserve this poor treatment during such a sensative time in her life.

Can we please take this to real world topics if you're really going to discuss this? Thank you. Feel free to discuss the actual model, but any perceived gender slights do not belong in the news section.

Cool. From the modeling perspective:
I dig the cavalier posture, it suits the character. Making use of the coat is nice, showing off all the stiff Reinholdt hauls around. And the gobber doll is a nice touch. If I wanted to play Reinholdt in Cygnar, I'd probably get one of these.

I just had an idea, if anything I'd pick up the model to learn how to paint nice green flesh tones. Nothing to say that you can't paint Rinny a nice shade of gobber green

Nah I'd paint her normal. And my fluff would be that she's a really good conwoman. Like it's a thing that imposters of characters models are floating around. That's how it's explained away when you have a gorman vs a gorman on the table. She's just a very obvious and very convincing imposter.

And everyone puts up with her because she's more pleasant to be around than the real gobber speculator. She walks around on her knees pretending to be the same height as Reinholdt, and speaks with a low, gobberish voice. "Oi got'im in my soights, bawss".

Rinny now has a bad cockney accent in my headcanon. Improves her 500%.

You can't jus' dres'up like ol' Rein'olt and fool anywun. I'm unique, I am." Rinny: "Is that roight, guvna? I'm Rein'olt, I've got this spyglass an' everythin'. And in the meantime, Butcher and Stryker are trying to figure out who's the fake.

Great to know that the sexism is live and well at PP head quarters... If you want to cry sexism about model design, PP is about on the bottom of the list in terms of offenders in this category. And I would not say no to a sexy(er) Amon ad Raza model.

That may very well be true, but i do not play any other game, so i do not care much about those models. It's sexist because....They like pretty ladies? I don't do the whole "It's not sexist because other things are!". I instead go for the jugular: This is manufactured outrage. Repeat a piece of information enough and people will believe it. Liking pretty ladies and making (Non-cannon) alternate sculpts of pretty ladies for fun does not in any way show a disrespect of women. I also don't believe that they are obligated to make Bara figurines (Not that I have a problem with it) because I believe that people can make whatever they want on an individual level. Art does not require balance. 10 Pretty ladies doesn't require 10 pretty dudes. I would be thoroughly AMUSED by a Pretty Boy Butcher who's lanky and only wearing jeans, but that's not a REQUIREMENT.

Claiming it's manufactured outrage is a rather disrespectful and rude statement. Lack of representation and objectification of women is a real world problem that has various consequences. One of those consequences is that seeing things that remind people of said problem (no matter how naive or unintended it is) causes them to feel uncomfortable and upset. I can see the argument that maybe said outrage is being directed in a misguided direction but the claim that what might be a genuine reaction is manufactured is something that is primed to instigate flame wars. Anyways we were warned once to not discuss this. I don't think we'll be warned twice. I suggest we drop this and realize that yes pp likes pretty ladies and they can't be forced to change their stance but some of us as customers (or patrons to their "arts") would really like it if they came out with some bishi pretty boy exclusives as well.
NO need to start a flame war
