So, who would be the best caster to run a bane warrior brick. Terminus? Scaverous? I'm going Terminus for a few reasons. 1) The biggest thing that Terminus wants that he lost in the transition from Mark2 to Mark3 are Stealthed Undead troops, and Dark Host gives it to him. Terminus is not like the squishy Khador casters that get sac pawn from WGK. Pow 10 guns actually threaten to hurt those casters, but nobody is going to fire their anti infantry guns at Terminus because he can just face tank them. They're then free to use those guns to clear away Terminus's sac pawns and it's not really costing them anything unlike against Khador where it's costing them extra relevant shots on the caster. This is where Stealthed sac pawns help. Anti infantry guns rarely ignore stealth nowadays meaning the opponent won't have many relevant targets for them. Unlike the squishy Khador casters who need to sac pawn those massed pow 10s, Terminus can just be armor 20 with a Wraith Engine and face tank them at dice -10. 2) The Bane Warrior CA is still Crap, but Terminus fixes its biggest flaw, the fact that you can just snipe tough off the unit by killing the easy to kill officer first. With Terminus sniping tough off is less relevant since any bane within 10" of him still gets tough. On top of that Rise is a Tactics so even if the CA gets murdered (it will) you get to keep Rise which Terminus can still make use of. 3) SR 2017. Playing for scenario is dead. That's what PP wants, and people are going to accept that soon enough. This means there's only going to be two real ways to win games in the future. Assassination & Attrition. Terminus is one of the toughest casters in the game to assassinate. Even dedicated assassination lists are going to struggle to assassinate him in many cases. This allows us to completely focus on attrition or our own assassination without having to worry about our caster randomly dying in a lot of matchups where some of our other casters who do great things for banes, like Asphyxious2&3, Goreshade2, or Scaverous, need to be constantly worried about random assassination threats.

So everyone else had updates for their CID/battle engine. How does the wraith engine fair?

So everyone else had updates for their CID/battle engine. How does the wraith engine fair? Gained +2 boxes and Rapid Strike instead of Cleave. This gives it slightly more incentive to get out of Incorporeal to actually do something and makes it slightly more durable. I think this is about the most that we could expect to come out of the CID at this point and all in all I think it's in a decent place.

Definitely an improvement over cleave and for 15 points that isn't too bad. Incorporeal is an expensive ability. Though my main opponent is the Protectorate so that hardly matters.

Incorporeal and ghost walk can still be a hugely destructive if your opponent is running a squishy caster or has something that really needs to die.
