Hello Trolls
I have only played two games so please forgive me if this is total twaddle but I was musing on a Gunnbjorn list that I thought might be interesting and I haven't seen suggested elsewhere. Of course the fact I haven't seen it elsewhere does sort of suggest it might be dumb but I wonder if the basic idea is sound?
I thought we might have the tools to try to bypass the front line of the enemy and get at the support and hopefully the caster.
The list:
conflictchamber.com/#b71b020r9Des0kfK0qfq6ncA
Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points
(Gunnbjorn 1) Captain Gunnbjorn [+28]
- Dire Troll Bomber [19]
- Dire Troll Mauler [15]
- Dozer & Smigg [18]
Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6]
Pummeler Crew [6]
Pyg Bushwhackers (max) [15]
- Pyg Bushwhacker Officer & Mortar [5]
Trollkin Runeshapers [9]
Trollkin Warders (min) [10]
I was thinking with Gunnbjorn's Field Marshal Kill Shot the heavies engage the front lines and try to kill shot into the back lines (if you take a blitzer instead you could do this without kill shot and get some AOEs off his gun with explosivo.)
The bushwhackers, hopefully being covered by the warders' shield guard, use slip away to get through the enemy front lines and start plinking the support and hopefully the warcaster and maybe get the enemy turned around a little bit.
The stonescribes shoot for knockdown to clear LOS if you want to shoot into the heart of the enemy and hopefully also make it easier for the pummeller to get directs hits with that high pow cannon (which is also helped by D&S animus).
I know people don't like the pummeller or bushwhackers at the moment (but I have the models and would like to use them).
Do you think there's anything useful in this thought experiment from a very new player?
