Agreed. But who wants to playtest an uninteresting mediocre model?? So much this! The Dhunian Archon is just soooooooooo boring! I can't think of anything new or interesting it does for trolls besides die. And even that's just a worse version of Madrak1's feat.

Err with sanguine bond that "mini Harbinger" things is super strong actually. I still don't see where all this "grievious wounds everywhere" comes from, Mortality has been around for a while and I heard no complaining. The small dispel thing on the weapon is funny, the model is affected by the stone as well. I can see that work. Also: you can also take the primal archon in Trolls, so this model is not the only one to discuss here! Lastly: gorgeous model art so far, I am getting one just for that Model!

Lastly: gorgeous model art so far, I am getting one just for that Model! Second that, I can't wait to get ahold of one of these things. Hopefully they do it in resin so I don't chew up all the teeth on my jeweler's saw (again) when I inevitably chop it up in to pieces and put it back together slightly different.

Maybe this archon will let warders see more play. You could build a pretty resiliant meatmountain...

This is just as good for protecting a key solo. It’s also a slightly better than average bubble. Its ok to only take one of this as just a distraction if you have the points. If they fall for it, you get regen too.

I totally overread the "once per turn". That makes that ability so much worse...

Anyone got a link to the art concept? I didn't see it in the CID forums.

Wowzer! Love the concept art!
Seems like a lot of the negative feedback here matches the brief CID skim I did earlier, which is unfortunate. Hopefully she gets to a good spot in the end. Not that I play much anymore. I would like to paint this model though!

Pathfinder Tough Divine Manifestation - This model is not a living model, cannot become knocked down, and never suffers Blind. Mother’s Embrace - When a friendly model is destroyed by an enemy attack while in this model’s command range, after the attack is resolved you can remove d3 damage points from a friendly model. Righteous Fury - When one or more friendly Faction warrior models are destroyed by an enemy attack while in this model’s command range, this model gains +2 STR and ARM for one round. Serenity - At the beginning of your Control Phase, before leeching, you can remove 1 fury point from a friendly Faction warbeast within 1˝ of this model. Soul Ward - Enemy models cannot gain soul tokens from friendly models destroyed in this model’s command range. Threads of Life - Once per turn when a friendly non-warlock living warrior model in this model’s command range is hit by an enemy attack, this model can suffer d3 damage points. The friendly model does not suffer a damage roll from the attack.
Basically 'vision' on warrior models once a turn.

That is _way_ more interesting than the original one. I can see saving some jam for the second and third wave in order to heal up your beasts or warlock, which is a pretty new idea.
She still doesn't have any active abilities besides whacking people gently with a big rock on the end of a stick, though, which disappoints me.

So if I'm reading that right, she can heal herself after using ToL with ME. I don't actually mind her being mostly passive as that's one support model I don't have to worry about order of activation for. Is she still 7 points with those abilities?

Don't see how she can heal herself. ME triggers when something dies. ToL triggers when something is hit. If she prevents damage to a model then ME will not trigger. She can of course heal when something else dies. She's also 10 wounds base now.

2nd iteration, my review: 1. Whelp-heal insurance model. Damaged beast pops out a whelp. whelp killed trivially by opponent, ME triggers d3 damage removal from beast. Also Serenity is Fury reduction-lite.
2. R-Fury: Un-necessary offensive/survival buff to a planned support model. Change this to something else please.
3. Soul Ward: Allows exclusive friendly soul gain by friendly(s) in command range. Gator Bokur? (Future necro-Troll warbeast? Please, oh please!)
4. Threads: Helps keep a solo alive on a flag, Gremlin Swarm for example. Balance problem if used as super-SG for LotF, yuk!
Better, but still not 'compelling'...
